Mainly came here for the beer (the tmavy and new polotmavy are very good) but had a starter and mains off the menu too while watching the footie on the big screen. Salt potato pancakes with chicken livers and duck confit with red cabbage were unadventurous Slovak fare but more than fulfilled my needs for the evening and the prices seemed very fair. At the end of the day its a buzzy beer hall that serves its own beer, and food to go with it. Go to Mestiansky if you want something a bit more refined - both are good in their own way.

Very loud and very beer place. There is a brewery inside. So all beer you can taste is very very nice. On the weekends there also can be some concerts. 2 floors. Better to come in advance. Place is always very croudy

In a nutshell, it was 'alright'. In my opinion, like some other commenters, the beer far exceeds the quality of the food. Was expecting more from our mains based on other reviews, but was disappointed. Thought I'd try desserts to allow them to redeem themselves, but the brownie was too solid and the strudel had been microwaved. Not disastrous, not great.

II called in one evening for a beer and some local fare. The choice of beers is very good and the quality is excellent. I tried a dark beer which went very well with the grilled meat and potato cake/dumpling.

The waiters are friendly, efficient and very help in explaining what some of the Slovak dishes are.

It is part of a micro brewery and has a suitably traditional atmosphere with lots of solid wood tables and very long bar and the ubiquitous football quietly playing on a discrete TV in the far corner so that it does put off folk who want to talk.

We felt very welcomed here by each server that helped us. Reasonably priced beer that is made right there makes this place suberb.
