About one hour tour which offers great overview of city. About 5-6 languages - also Finnish. Good audio!

This review is for the audio city tour. I dont know how the live guide tour is!

There was surprisingly little info on the audio tour. Volume was also very low, so it was very difficult to hear what was being said both in English, German, Spanish and my mother tounge. I understand all these languages excellent or fairly well, so it was a huge dissapointment not to get more out of the tour because of volume!!!

Where we sat at first the language suddenly swapped on its own. I mean that it went from English to Russian to French and so on, without me pushing the buttons. This was really annoying and it happend several times. We changed places. Language was now stable, but volume still low. A bit later all audio dissapeared. We checked 6 seats and none had audio. Other passengers complained about the same problem. After 25 minutes we had enough and got off the bus. We paid 80Lt and got 30Lt back which was something, but in reality we vasted an hour and 50 Lt.

In addition to all this, it was not possible to hop on and off. That would have been a big bonus, since we got so little info.

Thank you for your review and we apologize for all inconvenience. Unfortunately it was a tour when the system were wrong and we are very sorry about that. We have a lot of tourist on this audio guide tour everyday and the audio system made not nice joke with us that day, but it is fixed now. We will try that this does not happen again. Have a nice day!

My friend and I decided to go on this trip having seen plenty of flyers/advertisements in the various Vilnius guides we picked up. Unfortunately our initial experience was terrible - we arrived at their office in the Old Town at 3.30 one rainy Saturday afternoon to be told that the person had left for the day (despite being open until at least 5!) Hoping for better luck at the tourist office, we were told that they were only an agency and we should phone direct. Not wanting to pay the extortionate costs of mobile calls abroad, we asked our hotel to book for us.

Luckily the tour itself was very enjoyable and well organised. Our guide spoke excellent English and was keen for us to learn as much about Lithuania as possible. Trakai is a beautiful place very easily accessible from Vilnius and definitely worth a visit.

Please sort out your office though - you must be losing a lot of bookings through staff leaving early!

I went with my brother and sister on the tour bus as we wanted to see parts of the City we usually wouldn't find on foot. We boarded the bus at the beginning of the tour opposite the Cathedral Square (you can also board the bus at the bus stop by the side of the Town Hall opposite the art gallery), bought the tickets on board the bus and took our seats (There are a few tourist leaflets and booklets at the airport, if you happen to pick one up, there is a voucher for 5 Litas off the 11am tour. Be careful if the sun is out because the open top bus allows all this glorious sunshine burn away at your skin, so make sure you wear sun cream and maybe a hat to protect your skin. It was easy to navigate between languages, however make sure your headphone work properly as only one of my headphones worked. The Driver will go around each passenger and ensure you have the correct language you need and make sure it is working properly before departing. The audio guide was informative, however they spoke very quickly so it was hard to take all the information in and remember details of certain areas or buildings. Overall it was a good cheap way of viewing the City (40 Litas each) There is another tour Company that offers an actual English Speaking tour guide which would probably be more beneficial if you have questions about certain areas or monuments/buildings.

Sightseeing tour gives you a nice overview of the city. With any bus tour, it is hard to take photos when the vehicle is moving. Unfortunately the audio guide system was not working so my friend had to translate the entire tour for me. So I think the guide gave a lot more infothan my friend could translate. The tour is 40 lta for one of us and 75 lta for the other. A little pricey for the advertised time but our tour may have lasted a little longer bevause the bus apparently broke down though we did not really notice anything but we had to switch to a smaller vehicle which did not have enough seats. Fortunately the tour guide was able to adjust rather well and the chane was fairly seamless if you did not know better. The tour included two stops. One at Cathedral Square from where we walked past Vilnius University. Then boarded the smaller replacement shuttle and drove to St Anne's Church where we got off again at the church and then went to the Baltic Amber museum which was quite interesting. You can try the amber alcohol drink for free. We then boarded and got off near the Gatesof Dawn where the tour ended. We did get a refund for not having the English tour available which was really nice.
