“Pleasant Surprise”
Reviewed 8 December 2013

We stayed at Hotel Rinno from the 2/12 to 6/12 2013 on a City Break booked through Hotels.com, and to be honest we were very pleasantly surprised the hotel is clean and very well presented, the rooms were more than adaquate in both size and comfort and more importantly spotlessly clean, we found the staff to be helpful and friendly and keen to offer any advice when required, the breakfast was more than adaquate with a 'hot' choice which was always freshly cooked and also an array of cold choice in fitting with a continental style, the hotel location is about 10 min walk to the Town Hall/Gates of dawn and about 20 min to Cathedral and Gedmino ave (shopping),thare are a number of restaurants local to the Hotel (one next door) if you dont fancy going too far after a day of sightseeing all in all a good choice.

A generous breakfast! Genuinely friendly and giving staff (somewhat taciturn, you have to talk with them :) Real paintings, antiques, and quirky corners. Old staircase, quiet cobblestone street, and skylights that open to the crisp breeze. This hotel was a hit with us -- and my husband is still justifiably proud that he was the one that found it.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor, and I was delighted to have view through the skylights.

I stayed at the hotel Rinno for a whole week, 7 nights. Having read all the positive Reviews on this site, I was hopeful. Looking back, I am disappointed.
My room was large, and very Clean. No elevator, so perhaps not the best choice if you have a problem with climbing stairs, or have a lot of luggage. Breakfast best described as poor.
All in all, this is a good hotel, and more than adequate for a few days. I was disappointed that the staff were not willing to help me when I asked for directions or even suggestions for things to do and see in Vilnius. They simply told me to find the Tourist information office and to find it 'in that direction'. I would not stay in the Rinno again.

My brother and I travelled from Riga to Vilnius, specifically to visit the Old City. I found this hotel courtesy of TripAdvisor and as always, the site gave me reliable advice! This hotel is close to where we wanted to tour , as well as right around the corner from a Jewish Museum we also wanted to check out. The staff is very friendly and helpful and there is a lovely restaurant literally two doors down where we had a sumptuous dinner. The price of the hotel room includes a full breakfast. The rooms are nothing extravagant but more than accommodating for a good sleep. The bathroom had obviously been renovated and was as modern as anything in the US and then some. By the way, we took the Lux bus from Riga to Vilnius and it was the best bus ride of my life! Upgrade to a premier seat and you get free wifi, snacks, water and free on demand movies! The bus provided a very comfortable way to see the lovely countryside.

I stayed at Rinno about a month ago, and highly recommend it. The room was fine and the breakfast was good. (No onsite restaurant for dinner.) But, best of all, the desk staff are super helpful when you need help planning a day trip outside Vilnius or advice on, e.g., where to eat in Vilnius. I'm the type who likes to arrange a lot of the details beforehand. Rasa, the receptionist, was very helpful in sorting out day trips by email a couple of weeks before I arrived. So it's easy to see why Rinno gets such rave reviews.
