Owner description: Completed in 2006, the attractive Beach Promenade has the feeling of a real resort and makes the Summer Capital's beaches inviting even in bad weather! Romantically winding down the beach, the promenade surprises you with is well-thought functionality, and playfulness that comes from the use of different materials and fountains.Thought-out lighting keeps the beach active even when the sun goes down, and the playing colours of the fountains are a sight in themselves in the darkness of the night.Come and enjoy real beach feeling!

Pärnu, the n.o 1 beach resort in Estonia, is a wonderful town with an impressive beach of more than 5 kms. What I liked the best was the Ladies´ beach at the far northwest where you - if you are of the female gender or a child - may swim and sunbathe free of clothing. How wonderful! Women of all sizes and ages, leisurely chatting in Russian or Estonian, or reading or playing with their children, all enjoying the sun and the beach au naturel. After the first embarassing swim - felt silly since I am not used to going for skin dips in front of several hundreds of people, albeit of my own gender, - I got used to the feeling of nudity among people and aquired an even tan. :-) If you are in a mixed company you may enjoy the remaining 4 kms of sandy dunes and the fantastic cultural sights nearby. Bikes and sunchairs for hire.

Even though it can get crowded there is enough room to fit everyone comfortably.

We were there in peak season and it was the perfect temperature to spend lots of time on the beach. The sea was glorious and you could walk out over 20metres and it will still only come to your knees!

The beach is a 15-20 min pleasant walk from the bus station and I highly recommend it as a summer day trip if you have a spare day while in Tallinn - 2hrs by bus.

Pärnu beach is without a doubt the most beautiful beach in Estonia. Although it can get a little crowded in the mid-section of it, there's always the possibility to move towards the sides. There are several services on the beach itself (ie. rentable beach chairs and umbrellas, ice cream). The beach is clean and children can play in fountains on the promenade. There are about 3 public toilets
