Nice room, a bit noisy sometimes but really comfortable. Nice restaurant, nice café... and wonderful Spa. You have to try the massage and treatments!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for four nights in April 2011. The hotel was in great condition, the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. We especially liked that the entire short-wall of the hotelroom was a window. Before we went sightseeing we used the pool & sauna area of the spa every day, which was very relaxing. We also tried some spa treatments, the spa area was very large and the therapists were professional.

The hotel was located right outside the old town, accross the street from Pikk Herman. The center of the old town was only a five-minute walk away. All in all, a great stay!

Room Tip: Try to get a room in one of the top floors, the view is superb.

we stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in late October. The spa was nice, very clean, but a bit smaller than I thought. There were at least 4 different saunas in the spa area.
The treatments in the wellness spa were very relaxing. Book the treatments 2 weeks before hand, if you wish to have any during the weekend time.
Our room was very confortable. I suppose we were in the older wing, but it was ok.
The staff was friendly. The breakfast had great variety, but not enough staff.
There were not so many shops very nearby, but the distance is not too long for walking and if you wish, you can take a taxi. (Generally the taxis are not so expensive, but the price depends on a many things: which taxi company it is ect...)
There is very nice variety of chocolate in Cafe Mademoiselle. Loved it!

This hotel is very close to the ferry terminal, very easy to get to by car and there is a secured parking area. Still it only takes a couple of minutes to walk to the old town so the location is perfect.

The lobby areas are new and modern and the service is fairly good. Spa and the treatments I found to be really nice, but the pool areas are even better; spacious and versatile. The restaurants however were mediocre at best, the breakfast was boring and crowded, and the Asian restaurant that serves buffet style dinner was bland. There is a chef that prepares food from ingredients hand picked by customers which is a nice addition to the otherwise uninteresting menu.

All in all a very nice hotel for a relaxing weekend break in Tallinn, but I would avoid the hotel restaurants as there are so many other nice dining places within a few minutes walk.

Room Tip: Try to get a room from the new part of the hotel.

We stayed for four nights in late October.

Rooms - We had a room in the new wing of the hotel and were not disappointed. The finish was very smart and the (twin) beds comfortable. There was a mini bar that we did not use (if you feel that 1 litre of Evian is worth 5 Euros, perhaps you've got too much money). Shower gel/shampoo and hand wash were provided.

Breakfast - The food was excellent given that breakfast was included with the price. Admittedly, it was the same offerings each day but there were cereals (a good choice), hot food (egg, bacon, american pancakes), Pastries (Croissants, Danish, etc) and cold meats, cheese and yoghurt. You certainly won't fault the breakfast. We chose not to eat dinner in the hotel, simply because Tallinn has so many restaurants on offer.

Staff - We only have positive things to say about the staff. They were all friendly, efficient and spoke better English than some of English people I have met!

Location - For us, was superb. Not in the heart of the old town, but a pleasant 10 minute walk past Toompea castle every morning and you're right in the town square.

Aqua Centre and Spa - All guests can use the Aqua Centre between 7am - 11am free of charge, and you won't get thrown out if you stay after this time. If you choose to enter after 11am, you have to pay for a ticket (Not sure how much). My partner used the Spa for a Hot Lava Stone Massage and enjoyed it very much, and even got 20% discount for having it during 'happy hour' - mid afternoon seemingly! There is no particular etiquette for Aqua Centre - I wore Beach shorts and did not get told off! You can take your room towels down with you, or rent a towel in there.

Arrival - If you arrive between 8am and 6pm, look for the bus number 90K. It stops right outside the hotel (stop 7, called 'Hotel Tallinn') and costs 2 Euros each from the driver. If, like us, you arrive after 6pm, you have a choice between bus number 2, which does not stop near the hotel at all (hop off with everyone else and ensure you have a map with street names, you'll find the hotel within 15 mins). Alternatively, grab a taxi and make sure you agree a price beforehand.

Overall, we would recommend this hotel and Tallinn for a pleasant mini break.

OUR TIPS - Try the Elk soup and Elk pies in the corner of the Town Square (under the town hall) - only a Euro each! In your hotel room you will find a free guide called 'Tallinn in your pocket' which has excellent info on restaurants, bars, clubs, tours, things to do, ferries, trains - everything!! Finally, we booked this hotel through Octopus Travel, which having shopped around online, was easily the cheapest place to book a room. If you're planning on staying longer than a few days, arrange a trip outside of the main city. We found that we had covered most of the things to do in Tallinn within 2 days.

Enjoy!

We had a super time in this rather large Hotel, good facilities for relaxing in spa area, plenty of options for eating in the restaurants,(personal favourite was the asian buffet), breakfast had good selection, while we were there all 3 mornings were very busy, bar areas are very pleasant and appear to be well used by locals, staff very helpful

Rooms were very clean, modern, views from bedrooms ranged from panoramic street view to overlooking a wall or the other side of the hotel

Location of the hotel is on the outside of the city walls, not far to walk to old town but there are steep inclines, weather was good while we were there, however would not want to walk with any ice or snow about

Overall the hotel was fine for us, but we do not have any mobility problems or children, I think if we had to consider these factors I would look for somewhere more central

Taxi to the airport was reasonable both ways
