“Great hotel”
Reviewed 22 March 2012

We had a great 4 nights in Tallinn staying in this hotel. The room we had was on the top floor and was nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. Reception staff were very helpful and happily assisted us by printing our theatre tickets. Breakfast was offered at great times with a wide choice and variety of food. Spa was a pleasant experience although a shame it's not free all day. We ate at the Tapas restaurant one evening and our waitress was exceptionally friendly.

There are not that many options when you travel with 2 children: either you ask for extra bed/s or get the second room. Meriton has this nice option where you can have 2 separate yet connected rooms providing comfort and privacy. Rooms were clean and neat. Don't expect great view over the window, though since there is a construction site at the moment. Location is great, very close to old town and all main attractions. Pool was great as well, but please be aware that there might be crowded from time to time since locals visit it as well. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Still, overall it was a good value for 2 nights stay for a family of 4, so we might come back at some point again.

Me & my partner love Tallinn so much. We can never decide between this and another hotel, so we split our time between the two!

This hotel has several places to eat, and a bar. However these places can be expensive.

There is a fully equipped gym, and a spa with just about every facility that you could wish for - sauna, steam room, salt room, showers, pool, jacuzzi, waterfall, rapids.

The room has a kettle with tea/coffee etc. The rooms were a bit more old-fashioned looking than the lobby & exterior of the hotel.

Proximity to the old town is excellent.

However our only minor complaint was the dirty carpet in our room.

Despite this we will definitely be booking to stay here when we return.

I have visited a few decent hotels in my time, and for a decent looking hotel, I have never been so disappointed! I have never met such incompetent staff, and that included the manager of the hotel. Not once was our room cleaned, and we stayed there for three nights! I couldn't be more shocked as well to find out that we had to pay to swim. I have never received such AWFUL service!! I would plee....actually, I would pay for anyone who are thinking about going to this hotel, to not go! I would NEVER go back to this hotel and I hope they do get this message!

a Group of friends and I went to Talin for a weekend and whilst the hotel is in good shape its in 2 parts 1 which is old and outdated and the other which is new and cramped.
further to this we were asked to pay to use the Pool after 11am!!!! further to this we upgraded our room to a suite and they then charged us 50Euro 'Fine' for smoking on the balcony!! Outraged that they had even charged without telling us...
in good sprits for the weekend this we played a prank on a friend of ours and laced his bed with Flour and they charged us 50EURO because it was Extensive Chemical Cleaning...!!!

Although the most shocking is that we stayed here for 3 nights and they only cleaned our room 1 of the days after we had to ask them and even after the door sign had a please make up my room sign on this. quick to fine slow to clean....

the hotel reception staff were rude and very dismissive and were the most unfriendly I have come accross in my LIFE....
ruined the trip a little with the location being a taxi ride away from everywhere and such awful people representing them....
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL...!!

We stayed here in arch 2011. The rooms are spacious, clean and are maintained daily with fresh towles, and rooms have hair dryers, mini bar and a good sized TV. Double beds are real doubles, not just 2 singles pushed together like some places!!

I've read on some reveiws abou the charges for the Spa & gym etc and thought that they are not clear, so to clarify, if you're staying at the hotel, you can use the facilities free of charge as long as you enter before 11am, then you can stay as long as you like and use the good sized pool, huge jacuzzi, sauna, steam rooms and gym. If you go in after 11am, then you have to pay, around 8 Euros.

On the first day, we joined in the Aqua aerobics class that was going on in the pool area and it was great!

It's just a 7 or 8 minute walk from the hotel to the town hall square. The best thing about the town hall is the little medevil cafe lit only by candle light that serves hot wine, apple pies, wild game pies and elk soup. Delicious, you have to try this place, we go there every day when we are in Tallinn!!

Would stay at this hotel again. Matt who helpd us with the luggage was very helpful at recommending places for us to go.

Room Tip: Our room was at the back on the 5th floor and was very quiet
