“The Wilson Family - Wonderful Fun Day in Prangli”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

An enjoyable day - not to be missed. It was a nice break in the middle of our stay in Old Town, Tallinn. Our tour guide, Carmen, was superb, friendly and fun. It was informative and interesting to learn about Prangli life, and the lunch was excellent.

“my Prangli island 2 day fantastic trip review with photo”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Visit Prangli island in Estonia, near Tallin in 19.-20.07.2014.
Some days before I wrote review about Prangli museum. Now I write review to add 7 my made photo for better insight about island. My previous review was without pictures.

Prangli island is very nice with good swiming places, possibility to train survival skills in wild nature. Some signs from WW2 and Soviet times is seen, poosible to see former Soviet Border Guards post watch tower, some other instalations. You can make abseil/rapelling training there, if you have proper equipment, skills and do right risk analysis, because former Soviet Border Guards (SBG) watch tower is abandon from year 1992, when Soviet border guards left area. This tower is still in good shape for abseiling/rapelling, but some places of it is damaged by time/rust, so you need to be carefull and avoid them. This SBG tower is close to islands main port and road, so you can easy acces them. No restrictions signs on SBG tower, no police on this island, so noone to ask the stupid questions.

Other interesting things is WW2 German fighter plane engine put like monument found, a lot of former old Soviet cars and truks, like GAZ-51 (on production 1949-1975, on my foto) and others like VAZ, GAZ, ZIL, UAZ and a lot of old Soviet bikes seen in action. The ZAZ-968M old Soviet car in production till end of 1980ties, found on Prangli tourist info center near stage also seen on my other foto. Museum, shop, cafe-restorant, post office also found. Two ports, one main, one boat standing place without infrastructure and support.

“Husky Dog Sled Ride”
Reviewed 25 February 2014

We went on the Husky Dog Sled ride with Annika and had an excellent trip. After being picked up from our hotel we visited a museum, a frozen waterfall and then went to Korvemaa - an outdoor spots centre. The Husky Dog Sled ride was excellent, we had to control our own sled rather than just ride - which for us made it even better. We both took a turn to stand on the back of the sled and control the dogs. After the ride we went into the indoor picnic cabin and were given Blueberry Soup - a delicious, very sweet and warming drink. We were then offered the opportunity to try out the snow scooters. The whole Korvemaa experience was excellent, the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the huskys were lovely. We had a great day made all the better by Annika who is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about her country and it's history. On reading other reviews of Annika's trips if I go to Tallinn again I will book up early to ensure I get a trip with Annika as she seems to be a very popular choice.

“Fantastic day out”
Reviewed 16 June 2013

Can't really add much factual info to other reviews, but can vouch for the fact that it's a great day out. Lovely break from Tallinn and good opportunity to learn more about how other parts of Estonia lived and live. The time to explore the island on your own, I particularly liked. A small taste of 'Prangli time' :-) I, too, was on a tour with a group of Estonians, a great testament to this being the real deal, and not just a tourist day out.

all travel elements were in harmony on my PRANGLI day trip . the weather , the guides , the group , the setting and the delectable alfresco freshly made sublime lunch . The magical , uniquely made wood table anchored in stone , that awaited our group for lunch on the edge of the sea was one of my all time favorite outdoor lunches . Freshly caught fish made into lightly fried cutlets , salad and a wondrous dessert cake were memorable . the darling lady who prepared everything had her act down like a BROADWAY star . i believe everyone in our group were grateful for the unique travel experience .
