I chose the apartment because of its proximity to family in Tallinn, but can highly recommend it. My apartment was light and airy with tasteful furnishings. The garden is very pretty and well maintained. The hostess could not do enough to make your stay comfortable. Will definitely return when visiting family here again.

We ended up in Videviku Villa Apartments (the recent name which you should google) quite accidentally. Having booked an apartment with another host, we didn't get what we had booked, so he helped us find another accomodation. The Videviku hostess received us warmly and offered a beautiful, spacious design apartment for the same price. We (3 adults) spent 5 nights there and enjoyed the rooms, the beautiful garden and the service and warmth of the nice owner (hostess) very much.
The garden has a barbecue area and is spacious with a playground for children. Sitting there almost gave an illusion of being in the countryside.
The old town is in walking distance. If you want to take a taxi however, the hostess has a deal with one of the taxi companies, and she is happy to call a taxi for you. For the three of us, this meant that a taxi cost the same as tram tickets.
The Kristine mall is situated 10 min walk away. so if you want to cook your own food. go to the postoffice, bank or post-office that's the place. They also have a lot of other shops and some restaurants there.
I really want to recommend Videviku Villa - a lttle away from the hush of the city, but still close enough to get there fast.

We stayed in the one-room apartment with double bed. The building is a "Tallinn house" (one of many in the area, dating from the 1920s and 30s) and looks like it's been completely renovated. Clean, modern and comfortable. Wifi worked like a charm. About a 15-minute walk to the old city, a taxi from the town cost 3.5 euros. The owner was very friendly and helpful. She will prepare breakfast for you, or you can just pick up your own food from the supermarket down the street. We were very pleased to have found this alternative to the big, impersonal hotels in town. The only drawback was that the curtain in front of the window by the bed was white, so the morning sun streamed in and woke us.
