A group of nine, 5 adults, 4 school age kids.
Booking well handled despite the wrong day, very good food, especially starters. Wine recommendations hit the spot. Kids loved the icecream. Nice environment. Interesting toilet floor. Would visit again. Lost the star as the kids did not like their food, which however is not most likely because the restaurant.

We visited the restaurant as a late lunch/early dinner and were seated immediately, although the table was reserved for later that evening. The decor is very warm and it's the type of place where you could easily spend a few hours relaxing. The bread is amazing, as others have stated! The food was very good. We would highly recommend stopping by this restaurant, but definitely make reservations if you're looking to visit during peak times.

We made it here before the rain, and the crowds filled this quite small place up.

Our lunch was quite good and an inventive use of common Estonian ingredients. The warm beet root and lentil salad was pretty and delicious!

Stumbled on this fine restaurant when walking the streets of old Tallinn as a tourist. Pleasant surroundings and plenty of character. Sat outside as the weather was excellent and was attended by charming and chatty young waitress who obviously enjoyed her job. They were helpful and attentive as I am a vegetarian. Good layered main course and delicious chocolate cake pudding both professionally presented. Fine local beer on tap. Great value at around €18. Would love to return one day and to Estonia for a longer stay. Found the people more chatty and friendly than in Finland but this is a rather subjective observation (?)

Expecting us as we booked through our hotel the ever attentive David showed us to our table by the window. With a shot of Grey Goose & strawberry cider, we ordered a mushroom salad which we shared, Pork steak and Elk roast.
Complimentary, delicious homemade pumpkin bread and garlic butter to be getting on with.
The salad was lovely, especially mopping up the sauce with the bread.
My elk was tasty, very beef-like in consistency but with a faint but distinctive taste. Not tried this before and I don't think I could recognise it again, maybe after a few meals. Loved the red cow berries and orange buckthorn berries that went great with the meat. The pork and potato gratin was thoroughly enjoyed also.
Portion sizes were fine for us.
Desert was pumpkin moose with a crispy chocolate coating and the highlight of the meal for my wife, bread pudding, which could only have been bettered with custard.
We were lucky to have got a 2 hour slot as the restaurant was fully booked. Just by the door, we saw many people being turned away.
With just the right spacing between courses, an excellent evening & all for under 50euros.
