Having read terrific reviews of this restaurant we tried to book a table for the only night we were in Tallinn, a Friday. No chance. However, turn up early, she said, and you might get a table on the terrace, which can't be booked. So we did, and didn't regret it one jot.
The waiter was very friendly and informative, talking us through the provenance of the food (almost all very locally sourced) and recommending a local beer.
The food was terrific. Between the 6 of us we ate about half the dishes on the menu and they all met with approval. The slow roast shoulder of elk was the most unusual (to British eyes) dish on the menu, and it was delicious. Tasty meat with a wine and berry sauce went together very well indeed. Fish dishes were equally well received.
All in all, this was a very good meal indeed. For a group used to prices in London & SE England it was also exceptional value for money.
