Stayed here during unseasonable weather with temperatures down to as low as -29c. Nonetheless the hotel was in a charming part of Tallinn with a hearty wood fire in the Hallway and warm rooms to withstand these temperatures. Excellent, Friendly service, amazing breakfast where nothing was too much trouble including eggs benedict which were just fabulous. Recommend this hotel for a romantic break regardless of the weather in a beautiful old town.

From the moment we arrived we were delighted by the standard of service we received from the young, friendly and English-speaking staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel is very well situated in the heart of the old town within easy walking distance of all the main sites but also not far from bus and tram connections to more outlying areas.
Our room was extremely comfortable and well-appointed with a view of the courtyard at the back. The weather was very hot during our stay and the only slight drawback was the heat in the room, though a fan was provided.
Breakfast was taken in the vaulted cellar (or the courtyard) and was substantial and varied - from continental to full English, including fresh fruit and cereals and a whole range of different breads.
This is a very classy establishment, having played host to royalty, politicians and pop celebrities, but we booked through Expedia and felt it was very good value.
Tallinn is a fascinating city, both aesthetically and historically, with an abundance of cafés and restaurants. One of the best city breaks we've ever had.

This is a beautiful, elegant hotel just a couple of minutes' walk from the center square of Tallinn's Old Town. The staff pays attention to every detail of your comfort. Unfortunately, there is no AC and we stayed there after a warm spell (high 70's) and our room, which was on the front of the hotel, was uncomfortably hot. We had to leave our window open all night, so we could hear every person who passed in front of the hotel that evening. We ran the small table top fan, which helped by providing some white noise, but if you're staying here in summer be sure to get a room on the back of the hotel. The view on the back courtyard is lovely, and nicer than the view on the front anyway. The breakfast was really great. I'm just sorry we didn't get to have dinner there as well.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back should be quieter

In Old Town Tallinn, behind stone wall. impeccable service, good English speaking employees. Very helpful for sightseeing. Got us a rental car.
Excellent breakfast in lower "castle" room. 2 blocks from town square. Large room, enough for 3 people. Modern bathroom. Very clean.

Located in old town Tallinn, the hotel is a jewel.5 star boutique property, attentive, helpful and professional staff, wonderful breakfast, free Internet, plush bedding and rooms. A real treat. Booked it on a travel site at a rate less than $300.00 per night.

On the whole I would avoid 5 star hotels even if I could afford them all the time. This one though is cozy and welcoming with a mix of old world charm and slightly whacky Estonian cheekiness. the service could not be faulted. My partner and I loved the place, and would have liked to stay longer. The only slight negative is that the restaurant/breakfast area is a bit dark for our taste, although the food was great.
