just got back last night from tallinn, if you want a clean hotel, top class service ,great food, great staff, then look no further, this is the hotel for you, right in the heart of old town. the 2 resturants are great, the breakfast options are 1st class. no lift, but if you need a lift then tallinns cobbled streets are probably not ideal for you, when in a taxi if your 6ft tall you will hit your head on the roof when driving over the uneaven cobbles, trust me i have the bump to prove it,

We stayed at ST Petersbourg hotel in Tallinn and absolutely loved it! The location was simply perfect for us, being right in the middle of Old Town. We were travelling with our 8 month old so wanted a hotel in Old Town. The staff is exceptionally good and so cooperative, always smiling and ready to assist you with anything. The breakfast is in the coffee shop which had a great selection of cold cuts. The hot items could be ordered and the that was included in the price of the buffet. The waitresses wore their traditional outfits and after reading how old the hotel was , it gave it a very medieval feel. We had requested for a baby cot which was already there is our room when we arrived and they had even provided the bedding and a small baby pillow. The hotel's housekeeping was exceptionally good , coming twice in the day to clean the room and replenishing toiletries. The evening housekeeping service would bring us the complimentary water as well. They ensured that the bathroom was spotless and clean! Everything we wanted to see was walking distance. I especially recommend the Von Krahli aed restaurant which is a 2min walk from the hotel. The hotel has an estonian restaurant which has good reviews but we did not dine in that so cant comment. Overall our stay could not have been better..and we loved it!

Room Tip: There are no escalators so if you have mobility issues try and choose a room on lower levels. But we...

This hotel could not have been more helpful and friendly. Situated in the old town it has the perfect spot for a city break. The staff are friendly, and try very hard to please. The breakfasts are great with wonderful cooked options and plenty of choice from the buffet. The rooms are pretty and functional. The hotel has a Russian restaurant that is superb, recommended for a treat. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful hotel. Look no further.

This is a lovely hotel just off the old town square. The staff were lovely and friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. They have two restaurants, a bar and free internet access downstairs. i would deffinately stay here again as there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.

We used the hotel 'limousine' transport from the Airport which was first-class and avoided the problem of dealing with taxi drivers whom we understand can be a little unreliable with regard to fares! Made us feel a little grand!!! The service provided by the reception, porter and the ladies that looked after our bedroom was exceptional being both friendly and highly effective (helpful and appropriate and nothing was too much trouble). The small lack of service that we experienced at breakfast is being addressed by the General Manager to whom we gave feedback. The bedroom we were upgraded to was fantastic for us both-comfortable, quiet at night and spacious. The position is ideal-within the buzz of the Old Town but not noisy after about 11.15. Ideal.

We dined in the Estonian Restaurant downstairs on 2 occasions and had excellent local food, delightfully served. Breakfast food was excellent with a very good variety and standard being applied.

Would we come back? NO DOUBT AT ALL!!!!

We just spent 1 night here at the end of Aug and we found the hotel to be very good if not excellent. The staff at Reception were very helpful and the porter helped us up the stairs with our bags. There is no lift which may not suit everyone. I think there are a few rooms on the ground floor but not many so you may have to walk 2 or 3 flights. We had our 3 year old with us so we had a really big room. My parent's room was quite small. The hotel has a lot of history and the rooms reflected this. A nice touch was the dvd player and the turn down service with free water. The hotel is bang in the middle of the old town and we ate at 2 resaurants opposite the Von Krahl and the one that translates as Grandmother's Kitchen. Both were excellent but you'll need to book as people were being turned away. The hotel does not have a car park but shares it with the Schlosse hotel and there were no spaces left when we were there which might be a pain if you had a car. Also the access to the hotel by car is tricky negotiating the cobbled streets and hoards of sightseers. We dropped our car off at the Avis bureau at the Hotel Viru a 10 min walk away. Breakfast was very good. We ordered the Beckenheimer eggs and bacon which were naughty but nice. My husband had the blinis and honey which were also delicious. There is also a buffet. All in all this was an excellent hotel and we would recommend it. We paid about £90 a night with breakfast through hotelclub.com.
