No complaints at all, very comfortable, ideally located and competent staff. Good breakfast included in price.

A beatuful hotel in a great location in this gem of a medieval town. Close to all the sights in the old town. The highlight for us was the breakfast, individually cooked to order, something I have not found in any hotel in recent times. We were upgraded to a "junior suite" at no extra cost but it did not have air conditioning, which was a pity as the temperature was 28 degrees..

We stayed here for 3 nights having booked directly with the hotel. The hotel arranged a private transfer from the airport in a very smart mini-van. On arrival there appeared to be some confusion about our reservation and we were initially allocated a disabled person's room. I'm not sure exactly what the problem was (something to do with their computer database), but we were moved after a few minutes to another room overlooking the street at the side.

The new room was clean and well-equipped, and overlooked the narrow street below. I personally prefer modern decor, but there was nothing objectionable about the more traditional style of the St Petersbourg. The room facilities included a mini-bar, large LCD TV with satellitre channels, trouser press and safe.

Minor issues would be the pillows (which were those awful flat "continental-style" pillows, that deflate and offer no support), lack of blackout curtains that meant sunlight filled the room at 4am every morning (due to the time of year) and no aircon (although in fairness it was OK with the windows open, and not too much noise from the street).

Breakfast was superb, with a great selection of help yourself items and a cooked to order menu - the Eggs Benedict was terrific. The dining room also has a wonderful atmosphere and rich decor, bit forgetting Misha the Parrot! Seating is a little limited, however, and on one moring we had to wait about 5 mins for a table to become available, but the staff did spot this and made every effort to get us seated as soon as it was possible.

We ate in the Nevskij Restaurant one evening (separately reviewed) and also ordered room service on one occasion during our stay. Both were excellent quality and served professionally and promptly.

We would strongly recommend Tallinn (which is quieter and even more beautiful than we'd imagined) and the St Petersbourg hotel.

Very good location, friendly staff, quiet and clean rooms.

The only thing that put me off was the quality of breakfast.
At the second day the bread served was stale. It actually had mould on it. They definitely should be careful with this sort of things.

If you don't care much about the breakfast this hotel is a definite recommendation.

This is a very beautiful hotel that my partner and I stayed at for 5 nights. From airport transfers to the attentive and freindly service at reception, we were impressed. the location is very central to everything in the old town. This can be a disadvantage sometimes, as it gets very busy on the streets outside and doesn't really slow down at night to early morning, as there are a couple of bars around the hotel. We asked to be moved to another less noisy room, and this was done with minimum fuss and it was less noisy, but on the smokers floor. But, two of the best reasons to stay here are the two onsite restaurants, one russian and one estonian, which we were very impressed with, food and service wise.

This was a very nice hotel and a very good value at 70 EURO for a superior room. The hotel is right in the middle of everything and is a 5 minute walk from a great view atop Toompea hill (overlooking the Old town). The service was good although I feel that the staff and the guests interact in a strange way. The side street can be loud but if you sleep soundly, you should be fine. The bathroom is spacious and clean and has a tub/shower combo. The shower has a glass enclosure that only encloses half of the shower... makes for a wet floor.

The pillows are not firm enough and leave much to be desired.

Overall, a great value and I highly recommend.

We just LOVED this hotel. The staff was so warm and helpful in every way. The place is just gourgeous. The location in the Old City is perfect. Our room was completely furnished and serviced with ALL the amenities, it was spacious and elegant , too! The sauna was lovely, the breakfast delicious and the dining room facility was beautiful. We also enjoyed the resturant very much. Once again the waiters were great and very hospitable.
We would have loved a fitness room but we actually spent so much time walking, that we got our exercise!!
Anyone who has a chance or reason to be in Tallinn, STAY at this hotel!
