Stayed in a ZEN Room for three nights. The room was very nice, specially the bathroom, with a delicious Whirlpool bath! After a day in the city it was fantastic to take a bath here.

The location is also very convenient with a large shopping mall only 5 min walk, and the old town only 10 mins away.

There is also a very good breakfast and the staff are helpfull!

If you are going to Tallinn --> book this hotel! I can guarantee you will not regret it!

The 5 stars for the hotel is not awarded lightly and is based on the cleanliness, quality of the room, attitude of employees, location and value - all of which I was very happy with.

3 of us stayed in a Zen room which was very spacious, had an excellent bathroom (whirlpool bath and mood lighting included!), good beds and nice extras such as bathrobes and slippers.

We were facing the road and whilst you could hear traffic as you would expect, it was not a problem at all - certainly did not stop any of us from sleeping.

Location is great as previously mentioned. Just to add some travel information - there is a joint trolley bus and bus stop approximately 30 seconds walk from the hotel front door that takes you up into town in 2 minutes and saves the 10-15 minute walk.

Coming back from town, the bus (16 or 17) and trolley bus (2,3 or 6) stop around 200 yards past the hotel. There is an easy map at each stop whichs shows travel around Tallinn.

Taxi from the airport was 98 kroon - less than five pounds, and 89 kroon from the hotel to airport - four pounds fifty -hotel very helpful in ordering taxis (available in ten minutes).

All three of us are vegetarians and so for eating out in tallinn, we had no problems. Some recommendations:
* Italian - Contravento - Lovely, classy italian with great service and modest prices
* African Kitchen - Wonderful place, huge portions, very cheap. This is right by 'Fat Margaret' although we had a taxi for 65 kroon direct from the hotel. Great veggie options
* Kompressor - Amazing, huge pancakes for just a couple of pounds - this is just off Pikk (Toompea side) on Haarnu - spelling might not be right!

All in all, a great hotel (3 nights with breakfast for 3 of us was 150 pounds and I should also say that breakfast was more than adequate) in a great city.

Hi , many thanks for your positive review. You mentioned we do not have a disable ramp, this is actually not the case, we have a purpose built ramp at the conference entrance , with 24 hour access to the lobby and two fully equipped rooms.
I am sorry if this was not pointed out to you.
I will make sure these facilites are communicated to guests in wheelchairs on arrival, unless it was just something you did not notice and you are able bodied, hence nobody would inform you?

thanks
Paul

Stayed in the hotel for New Years eve. A nice surprise was to find a complimentary champagne in the room. We had booked the standard rooms, and ours seemed to be smaller than shown in the pictures and the other rooms. Some of our mates said that their room was not perfectly clean, ours was ok.
The location was convenient - not quite in the center, but really only some minutes walk. As the hotel is on a busy street, those in the facade rooms felt some discomfort because of the noise. On the other hand, those who had rooms in the back side, said they slept like babies ;)
On the whole, I think this hotel is a good choice in Tallinn for a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the bed very comfortable and free internet useful. The price also includes a free morning sauna for the clients.
Though the breakfast was very good, I wouldn't advise to have a meal in upstairs lounge La Boheme - not worth the price.

Hello , thank you for your feedback. It concerned me re the feedback about the fact one of the rooms was not perfectly clean, we pride ourselves on a clean hotel as seen in other feedback, so i am sorry we appear to have slipped up this time. I will make sure we eliminate the problem in the future.
I believe you booked a standard double, all our standard rooms are a good size, we have larger but these are triple rooms.

thanks
Paul

When planning your trip to Tallinn, you are most likely going to come across a problem: Where to stay in this beautiful medieval city? A variety of different hotels will be offered to you, maybe even a bit too many considering that Tallinn actually has only slightly more than 400 thousand inhabitants.

During my stay in Tallinn this December I spent a night in a Twin room at Hotel Uniquestay Mihkli, and I must say I was quite surprised when I came into the room. Although the interior is rather traditional and business style, the furniture and especially the WC have trendy and fresh looks. When booking a three star hotel, you normally don’t expect any luxury. In this respect Uniquestay Mihkli is different, as each room is equipped not only with a TV set showing local and also English language channels, but also with a modern PC set and free internet access! For those of you coming to Tallinn to spend money or on business trips a nice and useful gadget is the personal safe, which is located in the closet. Now to one of the most important things of a hotel - the beds! I must say, after having slept one night at this hotel, I am now considering, whether I should buy a new bed for my own place. In fact, the beds offered by the hotel are the softest and cosiest I have seen for ages!

As a Nordic country Estonia is known for its sauna-loving people. Traditions of sauna are closely related to the Finnish and come alive each autumn and wintertime. If you are going to stay in Tallinn just for a few days, you might not have much time to deeply explore the real Nordic sauna culture, but what you surely can manage is to experience the basics of traditional sauna, as the hotel offers a wonderful possibility to use the sauna in the mornings from 8 a.m to 11 a.m. free of charge. After going to sauna you can have breakfast in the ground floor of the hotel. The breakfast offers possibility to taste local food including cottage cheese, herrings and mushrooms, as well as the typical breakfast variety starting from cheese, ham and sausages, ending with corn flakes and yoghurt.

As to the negative sides of the hotel, there is not much to say. The room I was staying in was clean and the service was also very fine. The only thing that might not be perfect is the area around the hotel. It is located a bit away from most of the touristic places, although the old town can be reached within a very short walk, so it might be a good idea to take care of your belongings when walking outside alone.

In conclusion, Hotel Uniquestay Mihkli can be regarded as an outstanding three star hotel (in fact, I would even consider it a 4star hotel), as in comparison to many others it is featuring not only excellent service and equipment, and good location near the old town, but also very good value for money!
