Stayed here after reading reviews on Trip advisor. The hotel is situated approximately 10 minute walk from old town. Everything about the stay - the hotel and the City was excellent. The room - a single was a good size and had tea making facilities which is a rarity in European hotels. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot. The breakfast each morning was plenty to last though to an evening meal. Plenty of choice and with snow around all the time i was there the porridge was most welcoming. A tram stop is just yards from the hotel if you don't fancy the ten minute walk to the centre

There are only 2 negative comments I can make about this hotel and even those are not that bad.

1) We had booked a double but none left so we had to cosy on down in a single bed. Hotel staff offered to change the room in 2 days time but not worth it as we were only there for 4 days.

2) Went to use the sauna/tub and found there to be empty vodka and beer bottles everywhere, so did not use it in the end.

The room was excellent - spacious, very clean, great tv if you are British as mostly English speaking channels, quiet even though they were renovating outside when we were there and the breakfast was great - lots of choice and good for veggies too. A liitle walk from the town centre, but you can't have everything when you pay what we did.

I stayed in early May in a standard room for two nights - This was a simple but nice hotel - fairly located to the old town (10-15 min to walk to the Tallinn townhouse). Nice PC with free internet access on the room... very cheap price when booked via travel agents in the internet - breakfast was OK - looks like UK - style of breakfast to me (I've just returned from scandinavia - so the breakfast IS different) Overall is good - but probably the next time I'll try the sister hotel U(Uniquestay tallinn since apparently it is closer to the oldtown)

The hotel booked us a taxi for early departure 5.30AM and it cost us 85 EEK which is very cheap - the hotel provides transfer for 12 euro (180 EEK) if you leave after 8.00 AM - more safe choice if you've read some story regarding the tallinn taxi driver - but the one the hotel reserved us (Silver taxi) was great

This hotel provides exactly what it offers: a friendly, comfortable, clean and warm stay for those looking for value.
The room is basic, but offers a modern and bright environment.
The free internet facility was particluarly useful in planning trips, checking exchange rates, and keeping up with news at home.
Breakfast offered a wide choice.
The staff were friendly and courteous and the reception staff very helpful.
The hotel's location is within easy walking distance of the city centre (both old and new), and I found the city safe to walk around at all hours.
I would definitely stay again.

Stayed for 4 nights and was very impressed, especially in terms of the price I paid.
My single room was a reasonable size and I slept very well.
The room has free internet access and tea/coffee making facilities.
The buffet breakfast was better than expected and is served until 10:30am. I was very impressed with their offer of a cold takeaway breakfast for my 5:30am taxi.
Tallinn is a young, vibrant, historic and cultural city - definitely worth a visit. The only downsides were some hangups from the old days in terms of blatant rip-off taxi drivers (I can't understand why the city officials don't do something about it) and a certain young waitress in the submarine-styled curry restaurant who ripped us off when she scarpered with our change, despite a generous tip! Shame on her!

Stayed in a ZEN Room for three nights. The room was very nice, specially the bathroom, with a delicious Whirlpool bath! After a day in the city it was fantastic to take a bath here.

The location is also very convenient with a large shopping mall only 5 min walk, and the old town only 10 mins away.

There is also a very good breakfast and the staff are helpfull!

If you are going to Tallinn --> book this hotel! I can guarantee you will not regret it!

The 5 stars for the hotel is not awarded lightly and is based on the cleanliness, quality of the room, attitude of employees, location and value - all of which I was very happy with.

3 of us stayed in a Zen room which was very spacious, had an excellent bathroom (whirlpool bath and mood lighting included!), good beds and nice extras such as bathrobes and slippers.

We were facing the road and whilst you could hear traffic as you would expect, it was not a problem at all - certainly did not stop any of us from sleeping.

Location is great as previously mentioned. Just to add some travel information - there is a joint trolley bus and bus stop approximately 30 seconds walk from the hotel front door that takes you up into town in 2 minutes and saves the 10-15 minute walk.

Coming back from town, the bus (16 or 17) and trolley bus (2,3 or 6) stop around 200 yards past the hotel. There is an easy map at each stop whichs shows travel around Tallinn.

Taxi from the airport was 98 kroon - less than five pounds, and 89 kroon from the hotel to airport - four pounds fifty -hotel very helpful in ordering taxis (available in ten minutes).

All three of us are vegetarians and so for eating out in tallinn, we had no problems. Some recommendations:
* Italian - Contravento - Lovely, classy italian with great service and modest prices
* African Kitchen - Wonderful place, huge portions, very cheap. This is right by 'Fat Margaret' although we had a taxi for 65 kroon direct from the hotel. Great veggie options
* Kompressor - Amazing, huge pancakes for just a couple of pounds - this is just off Pikk (Toompea side) on Haarnu - spelling might not be right!

All in all, a great hotel (3 nights with breakfast for 3 of us was 150 pounds and I should also say that breakfast was more than adequate) in a great city.
