We only stayed one night in July 2014 but the hotel met all our expectations and beyond. Location is very close to the Tallinn Old town just couple of minutes easy walk to everything, castles, restaurants, shops, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful, service was excellent with fluent english and always with a smile.
The hotel building has recently been under a full renovation, so everything inside looks brand new, fresh, modern and stylish. Our room was very quiet although located on the 2nd floor facing a busy street. The room was air-conditioned, elegant, not huge but all new, spotless and clean, decorated in modern style and well equipped. There was a mini bar fridge and tea making facilities and also ironing facilities. Foreign tv channels and high-speed free internet access. Even a new iPad tablet in the room free for use! Very comfortable beds, excellent pillows (2 different), high quality sheets. Luxurious bathroom with good products and a very pleasant shower with a modern rain shower head. Also bath robe and slippers.
Hotel security is top notch. Latest room door locks, in the room there's a small safe with a client-settable keypad combination.
The quality and variety of breakfast buffet was absolutely excellent, fresh and tasty.
A very enjoyable stay, definitely value for money!
Suosittelen ehdottomasti, erittäin hyvätasoinen ja rauhallinen hotelli. Kaikki uudenkiiltävää ja tyylikästä, miellyttävä nuori ja kielitaitonen henkilökunta. Matkamme oli Viking Linen hotellipaketti, hinta todella kohdallaan.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- THE BEST MEETING PLACE IN TOWN Hotel Palace, located next to Freedom Square in Tallinn reopened in July 2014 after a total makeover. The Hotel dates back to 1937 and represents one of the most interesting, glamorous and majestic Hotel buildings in Estonia. This business class hotel with 79 rooms has throughout its history been a true business card of Estonia. The corner stone of the building, located only a step away from the most representative square of the town, was finished in 1937,during the pre-war high period of the Republic of Estonia. Architect Elmar Lohk designed one of the most glamorous buildings in Tallinn and its majestic atmosphere specifically for a hotel that would represent estonia at the highest possible level. The hotel building is a monument of national architectural heritage. Having acquired a completely new interior, the building continues its dignified course, traditionally remaining a modern lighthouse in the very heart of Tallinn by retaining its classic atmosphere, which is now combined with up-to-date interior design.
