Arrived to be greeted by a very friendly and helpful young lady and an array of tourist information on reception. The hotel is about 2 minutes away from the old town. The rooms were big and clean. For the stars awarded it was very good. If we had to be picky the breakfast wasn't hot.

Great location, just around the corner from the K90 bus stop to/from the airport for 2 Euros pp each way. The reception staff at the hotel had been really helpful on email before we arrived, helping advise about the airport bus and we received a warm welcome when we got there. There is a strange sickly sweet smell in the hotel. Not horrible, but it is noticable. We think it was a cleaning product. The hotel is spotlessly clean.

The bedroom was basic, but generally clean. There were stains on the carpet, with a new piece put in near the door, but the main thing that put me off was body fluid stains on the valance. It just needed to be put in a washing machine. Outside of our room for the whole of our stay was a single bed upturned with blood stains on the side. Not what you want to see.

That said, the bedding itself was clean, so was the bathroom which looked like it had been recently done. Towels were changed every day and the chambermaid was pleasant when we saw her on the landing.

Breakfast was very average. We managed to grab a breakfast tea each on the first morning, but then they ran out. I asked the next day too and there wasn't any more. Plenty of fruit teas, but no normal tea. So we drank coffee, which you could stand your spoon up in! Breakfast wasn't very well laid out. It was a fight to get to anything, with plates and bowls above the food, so you were forever saying 'excuse me' to get to anything. Also, the bread that you cut yourself seemed to go straight away and just the crusts were left. This should have been regularly replaced. What you were left with was cheap sliced white & rye bread and cheap ham.. The 'hot' potato was cold, as was the egg that my husband had. Cereal was ok, as was the jam.

The same area is used as a beer keller at night. We popped in and it was ok, with a few people in there. The beer was expensive though - 3 Euros 60 cents for a small wheat beer.

I wouldn't rush back. You can probably tell. It is in a good location, close to the town hall square at 10 minutes walk away.

There's a very reasonable Amerciana pizza restaurant beyond the square on the other side of the underpass. Take the road to the left of the square and its on the corner with a Saku beer sign outside.

The KGB museum is also worth visiting. Its in the Sokos Hotel Viru. Turn left out of this hotel to the junction & look right. You'll see it. About 15 minutes walk. Interesting and only 7 Euros pp. You need to pre-book and can email the hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the back. We got disturbed by drunken stags at 4am!

Excellent location, very close to the old town. Clean decent sized rooms where we got fresh towels everyday. A bonus was the free wi-fi. The staff could have been more service friendly.

Stayed as a group of 8.
Hotel is no frills, rooms are a good size with livy big windows. They were very clean.
Only critisism was the bathrooms that are pretty dated. Still clean though.
Breakfast was good all the usual hot and cold continental stuff in a nice basement.
Would recommend this hotel for its value and location for anyone looking for a mid price hotel.

I agree with other reviews - it is a good tourist style hotel. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Location is great - close to old town, 5 minute walk. Breakfast had everything one could wish for. However, there was one bad thing that our friends who had a room overlooking the streeet noticed: across the street is a bar/nightclub which attracts a lot of people who drink and scream in the street at night....and even in the early morning hours. We stayed Friday - Sunday so not sure how it is during the week. Our room was located at the other end of the hotel, overlooking the backyard which was very quiet.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the backyard are quieter

The small hotel is perfectly located just outside Tallinn’s old town,
and the airport bus stops just around the corner.
The room was small and basic, but the ceiling height made it ok, but it might have had an impact on that the room was somewhat cold.

The breakfast room is in the basement, in what in the evenings is a German bar. The selection was basic but ok and nothing wrong with the coffee. Everything was okay, but the place lacks character. It was a comfortable and inexpensive stay.

Dear Icca5, thank you for your review. As for cold room probably heating was in position 2 (we usualy put it when room is empty). If to put heating to position 4 or 5 it will be defenitely warm as other reviewers and our guests mentioned =)
And you were absolutely right - our standart rooms have a bit lack of character and style. But we are working on it and already this summer you can see the difference! See you again! =)
