“Ideal for events at the Song Ground”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

My friend and I stayed in Tallinn for 5 nights - primarily to see Robbie Williams but also to see some of the main sights of Tallinn too. The room was quite basic but for a short stay was perfectly adequate. Being Brits, we would have like some tea & coffee making facilities in our room which was one negative aspect and also servicing was not done very frequently but all in all we enjoyed our stay. There was a good selection at breakfast and we also ate dinner in the restaurant one evening and it was very nice and good value for money. The hotel is about a 10 minute bus ride away from Tallinn old town and after hours, taxi prices were very reasonable (cheaper at night than through the day actually). The staff were very friendly and when we did have some trouble with lack of hot water when the hotel was busy, we did get a small gift when we left by way of apology. I will certainly be going back to Tallinn and would definitely stay here if it was to attend a music event. It is good value for money.

If you are going to visit Tallinn song festival ground, Oru hotel is the best place to stay. Next to the sea, long promenade and beautiful park. Rooms are small but cosy. At our stay the hotel was full so we had a problems with water. It's a 3 stars hotel, so breakfast was rather good. Very friendly stuff. Overall - good hotel for visitors of events.

When we arrived to the hotel we was advised that there is no free rooms and we should go to another hotel although our booking was prepaid. Oru was chosen for the location (park and beach is nearby), but another hotel was situated near the high road.
There is no any compensation from the hotel for this situation and I don't advise anyone to choose this hotel

I stayed at the hotel in July 2013 because of some unpredicted circumstances, and I found in on Booking.com in minutes. It's located near the Baltic sea, near the Kadriorg park. Our room was nice, and it also has a spacey balcony, which was a plus. The stuff is VERY friendly and helpful, when my BF couldn't find green tea whilst having breakfast, all receptionists got off their places and began trying to find it! They also gave us free bottled water when we were checking-in. Breakfasts are very nice - they have a quite big choice of food, I highly recommend you to try meatbals - it's a specialty, it really nice goes with cranberry jam.

We liked the location beacause it was near the sea and the Kadriorg park in a quiet residential area. Hotel is in a walking distance to the Old town. The car parking place was spacious and free. Breakfast was superb with wide choise of food, even hot buffet. The rooms were basic but very clean. I would stay again. Disadvantage of hotel was uncomfortable bed, but we were very tired after our long trip, so it wasn't a problem for us.

The Oru is located outside the city, so you get a very price competitive price. The standard is very average. Food which was served also during our conference we held at the hotel was approved, but nothing that impress. There seems to be as many employees as guests but it does not reflect on a better than average service. The room was nice and clean, but almost at motel standard - i.e. nothing fancy at all. Free wifi gives a little plus.

We stayed here last summer on a weeks holiday in Tallinn. The Oru hotel was a fantastic place to stay while in Tallinn. Located opposite the song festival grounds Oru hotel is about 3 KM from the center of Tallinn. There are good transport links (bus and taxi) from right outside the hotel but there was so much to see on the walk into Tallinn through Kadriorg park it was interesting enough to do every day. The hotel itself was very clean, the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful in arranging hire car and taxis. I wouldn't hesitate to return here and would highly recommend it.
