90% of reviewers love this restaurant so maybe we were unlucky or not the target market. We too loved the friendly service, the professionalism and the room but we can't recommend the food. The eggplant and tomato terrine with mushroom sauce was mushroom soup with a terrine floating in it. The terrine was great as was the soup but not together in the same bowl. The venison main course - all the ingredients were fresh and well cooked but the dish would have been wonderful without most of them - vension, blackcurrant sauce, potato and pea purée - perfect. Leave off the cheese, cauliflower, courgette, radish, peppers and blackened crust to venison etc. Despite the friendly staff, we are part of the minority that can't recommend this restaurant. Fusion - confusion or flavour combinations gone wrong to our buds.
