This is an Estonian family run restaurant in Italian style, perfectly located at the Hirve park 3 min away from the Toompea castle/Estonian Parliament. Established 3 years ago, just moved to the current location last summer of 2013.
We went there for dinner during the Old Town Days. It was great experience in the end of very hot day. We seat inside, the premises can actually served dinner up to 30 guests on the two floors plus the terrace outside. The menu and the list of wine are very carefully put together. The choice of wine is carefully selected. You can get the free drinking water there, what is rare in Tallinn establishments.
As appetitive we ordered two Aperol-spritzes. The cocktail was perfectly prepared and served. Plate of Italian antipasti for starters, selection of home-made raviolis and chicken with steamed carrots as the main dishes, accompanied with the bottle of white house dry vine. The house vine was nice: light, tender and with a great bouquet, perfectly fitted the dishes and the summer weather. The portions of the dishes were big enough, in home-made style. The antipasti were very good, well presented. The main dishes had less presentable appearance, but the chicken and carrots were actually great. However, the portion of raviolis (3 kinds, 9 pieces altogether ) were not that carefully prepared, it was a bit of disappointment.
The service was nice, however we did not get the bread over the antipasti. It was added together with the main dishes, in Estonian style serving the bread.
The price-performance of the restaurant is great. We got the all above described for 53 euro.
I would highly recommend this place for nice home-made style meals.
