This tiny (8 table) Italian restaurant on Lai Street, steps from the Meriton Old Town Garden Hotel, is a perfect spot to relax, converse, and enjoy an authentic Italian meal with a great bottle of wine and very reasonable prices.

The small crostini (Bruschetta) was fresh, crispy and savory. Gourmet sea salt, olive oil and balsamic vinegars are on the table for your enjoyment.

There's a wall of wine, in all price ranges, but ask the friendly, unpretentious and knowledgeable server for some recommendations "by the glass." It's a great way to get a sampling, or even (as I did) a glass of high-end wine that may be the last in an open bottle, half-price.

The truffle risotto was wonderful - earthy, creamy, delicate. Forget any grated cheese on this, as it would detract from the elegant flavor of the Umbrian truffles.

The side-salad, a wonderful mix of fresh, crispy greens, peppers, cherry tomatoes and corn was cold and scrumptious.

A shoe-in for a return visit, particularly if you're interested in hearing your partner speak.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our third day in Tallinn, just few minutes from our hotel. Food was excellent. I had the Florentine steak and my wife a pasta qith seafood ("alla pescatora"). My stepdaughter enjoyed the Carbonara and her companion the tortellini. Chocolate cake and Tiramisu' for dessert was deliciuos. Wine list is extensive and all italian. We shared a bottle of Chianti classico riserva 2009, recommended us from the waiter Leo, and very reasonable price. This restaurant is not touristy at all. It was busy. At 7pm when we arrived there was only one table left. Althoug it had rained during the day, it was warm and the doors were flung wide open. We were not rushed and the staff were excellent: Angelo, the chef, suggested also some hints for Tallinn. I can highly recommend, as the their winebar in Rataskaevu street.

Small and busy place, assumingly like in real Italy. My pasta with prawns and orange sauce was close to perfection, and the wine that the waitress recommended matched nicely with the food. Tiramisu was yummmy!!

Our last night in Tallinn we didn't want fussy food just good food, went past this place on our way back to our apartment and thought it looked cosy and nice. On arrival found it to be small and friendly. Excellent waiter service and the food was amazing. We had bruschetta, mozzarella and tomatoes (grilled) with tom and mozzarella salad followed by mushroom risotto and the best king prawn linguine ever!!! Someone else on trip advisor commented that the tiramisu was the best ever tried but sadly too much for us. This restaurant is a must before you leave Tallinn. They had a very demanding Italian guest and the staff were helpful and incredibly diplomatic, hold my hat off to them. Good things come in small packages. We will be back if in Tallinn again - well done

We had a very pleasent Italian eating experience in Tallinn. Just by coincident we came cross this jewel of an Italian eating places when walking the streets of Old Town Tallinn. Very charming informal dining room, although quiz smal; and a wine cellar downstairs. Webside not see the Wien celler, though. We had a three course meal, and we were quite satisfied except for the Mineastone soup, which I found was lacking in taste. Maybe it had been on the stove all day long ... Good selection of wine by the glass, and helpful and knowledeable waiters made it a memorable evening.
