This tiny (8 table) Italian restaurant on Lai Street, steps from the Meriton Old Town Garden Hotel, is a perfect spot to relax, converse, and enjoy an authentic Italian meal with a great bottle of wine and very reasonable prices.
The small crostini (Bruschetta) was fresh, crispy and savory. Gourmet sea salt, olive oil and balsamic vinegars are on the table for your enjoyment.
There's a wall of wine, in all price ranges, but ask the friendly, unpretentious and knowledgeable server for some recommendations "by the glass." It's a great way to get a sampling, or even (as I did) a glass of high-end wine that may be the last in an open bottle, half-price.
The truffle risotto was wonderful - earthy, creamy, delicate. Forget any grated cheese on this, as it would detract from the elegant flavor of the Umbrian truffles.
The side-salad, a wonderful mix of fresh, crispy greens, peppers, cherry tomatoes and corn was cold and scrumptious.
A shoe-in for a return visit, particularly if you're interested in hearing your partner speak.
