Description: Located under the 12th Century Raekoda (Town Hall) building in the main square of Old Town Tallinn, Kolmas Dragon (or the Third Dragon) is a small medieval-themed tavern. This charming eatery with its beautiful-period interior is hosted daily by a group of petulant housekeepers whose job it is to entertain all-comers with their brusque and rude service manner. However this is all purely theatrical - a style that is closer to the behaviour that one would have received in the medieval ages. Specialities that are served include beef ribs, elk soup, savoury pastries, pickles from a barrel, teas, wines and the famous house beer. All those who enter should therefore be ready for not only tasty foods and beverages but also to some exceptionally entertaining service.

“A must in Tallinn!”

Everything about this place is great; the food, the atmosphere, the service.
It's a little cramped inside, but that only adds to the atmosphere. The food is good and hearty, which is just what you need when it's -10°C outside!

“A Winner!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2013

A great find, loved the place. Food was good honest hearty food, the venue is fantastic, authentic and unique. Thouroghly enjoyd the service, the lady's are ballsy and full of character and really fits in the charm of the place. Only slight down side is that it does get busy, but that is no downside on there part, just down to the popularity of the place.

“Charming!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2013

This restaurant might be very touristy and it might be a little bit annoying to not get a seat, but I have never ever had such great food for this price! Most things are very expensive around the christmas market, but this place stands out as beeing both super cheap and super charming. Try to go to the toilet somewhere else though...:)

“Decent bowl of elk !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 December 2013 via mobile

Quirky small eating place within the town hall to the central square in the old town. Their display board outside says " decent bowl of elk soup " and they certainly don't overstate ! Mediaeval theme with proper serving wenches ! Candlelight dining with elk soup and/ or pies. 3 of us ate for 5 euros in the centre of town. When its cold - which it will be now - its worth having a wholesome bowl of warming elk . Haute cuisine it ain't BUT true to its rustic roots.

“Very cheap, delicious and medieval”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 December 2013

Very cheap, delicious and medieval. You don't have to pay a fortune for medieval food experience in other restaurants. This place is also in medieval style, candles, no fork and spoon etc. Also a menu of 2-3 foods and a beer is about 10 euro.

Great for everyone!
