“Overpriced”
Reviewed 21 December 2013

After venturing down some steps we found ourselves below ground level in a rather dull restaurant. The choice was quite reasonable but the prices rather 'over the top'. What we ate was nothing to rave over and would not return.

“Try their Estonian dessert Kaama”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

I only had dessert here and tried the recommendation of the receptionist of the Meriton Old Town Garden Hotel which was the Kaama, a traditional Estonian dessert that is not commonly found in other restaurants anymore.

“Interesting building & good food”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

We were a group of 16 and had booked the table beforehand. Unfortunately we did not get a table in the cellar but in the meeting room. Other areas would have been nicer. There were interesting details in the building itself. The food was good & not expensive for us but our local colleague said it is expensive in Estonian standard. The service was a bit slow but that is always in Estonia.

“Overpriced, left hungry”
Reviewed 12 June 2013

I have to strongly disagree on moderate prices. The menu in " Eesti Söögituba" sounded very nice and we were looking forward to filling our stomachs with some nice Estonian food. Some of us ordered soups and salads while others tried the main courses. As the portions arrived we noticed that all were equally tiny! I ate "Fennel puree soup with smoked trout and shrimps" for 7,50 € - the portion was hardly bigger than a coffee cup, contained one tiny slice of smoked fish and three (!) small shrips as garnish. The taste was ok, but definately did not make up for the tiny portion. A main course of salmon cost 16 € and was also very, very small.

You can do so much better in Tallinn Old Town, so do yourself a favour and go somewhere else! However, if you choose this restaurant, be prepared to order at least three courses to get your stomach full.

“Good food, prices moderate, ask for Liis to serve you”
Reviewed 16 April 2013

Restaurant is in a nice looking cellar. Staff speaks English fluently and will help you out very well.
Always with a smile.
Food is special, tastes fine and fills your hungry stomac after a walk through historical Tallinn.
Liis served us very well!
