Nice hotel in the old town district of Tallinn. Location is next to the old city wall. Central square is 5 minutes walking.
Room was nice, good rate (senior rate about 45 € per night, breakfast included), good breakfast

I stayed two nights. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was moderate. Location is very good for sightseeing. I hope other people could share my good experience in Tallinn.

We stayed at the Meriton Old Town Hotel for two nights. Booked online though when we arrived our two rooms for 3 people had become a triple! Our reserved room was quickly swapped for the required two, but I do wonder what would have been if we had not taken our printed confirmation.

The rooms we were given both looked out on to the road at the back, a shame as some rooms had a view of the church to the front. Despite the road the room was not noisy (with window shut), complete with mini bar and a small bathroom within which you could not swing a cat. This is fortunate as the cats are all down the well where Tallinn gets its water supply! The shower was powerful and the room was immaculately clean and always made up impeccably.

If you are a new visitor, or perhaps you haven't dared to unroll the cushion on the bed, you will find an extra pillow inside.

Breakfast was a simple buffet affair; cheese, ham, bread, cereal, coffee, juice etc. There were also some sausages and something resembling a scrambled egg for those of an adventurous nature. First morning it was packed and we were relegated upstairs on the mezzanine however by 9 it was empty, second morning we resolved to visit at 9am to get a premium seat (near to the scrambled egg) however we were not the only people to have noticed the timetable and the place was packed and we were again relegated to the mezzanine. Perhaps everyone was keen to get a seat near the TV for the Royal wedding? The Meriton obliged by showing what appeared to be Heartbeat, or at least Emmerdale, with Estonian subtitles.

Staff friendly, excellent English but always gave the required smile when you attempted Estonian on them. Quick to resolve our room problem and for £50-ish a night extremely good value.

Excellent location, and like most of Tallinn there was free WiFi (don't think provided by the hotel).

Stayed here on the last night of our Tallinn and Helsinki trip having spent our first night in the sister hotel, the Old Town Garden Hotel up the road. Wanted to try this one out as it is built into the old town wall which you can see in the cafe area. Room was small with bed up against wall on one side. Bathroom was small with the toilet in a funny position but it was useable. Breakfast was poor quality - worse than the sister hotel. Best thing is it's location in the old town and also free WiFi in the room. For the price we paid it was okay.

I spent a while trying to choose a suitable hotel to stay in Tallinn, and finally settled on Meriton Old Town because of the good price and location. The choice proved to be right from the very beginning. I requested a room overlooking the Old Town, and the hotel respected my wishes. The room had a breathtaking view over Oleviste Church. It was very quiet, and one could easily get a good night's sleep, as the place where the hotel is located is away from the noisy pubbing/clubbing areas of the Old Town.

Several people note the small size of the rooms in their reviews. Though the room wasn't what you would call spacious, I wouldn't complain about it. It was enough to fit us and our suitcases without feeling claustrophobic. The beds were comfy, everything was clean and in full working order.

The breakfast was included in the price and was a lovely experience. It is held in Cafe Mademoiselle belonging to the hotel and noteworthy for an interesting design solution. It is between the old city wall and the building of the horse mill, with exposed grey limestone walls - very romantic. From the window of the cafe one can see the towers of the city wall. The selection at breakfast wasn't very exciting, your typical continental breakfast, but everything was fresh and tasty.

All in all, a very pleasant experience and nothing to complain about. I would definitely stay there again.

We spent a great time in Tallinn and want ot thank Meriton hotel for providing such quality and friendly service. The location is good - in the Old City with easy access to the best places to see and close to the exit to the city if you want to explore also that part, catch a tram ot just shop for food. The room is very neat and the cleanings were provided in time. Breakfast was nice. Anastasia, the manager was great help to us with different arrqangments.
