Dear Tommy!

Thank you for your review!
There are some popular breakfast times when most of our guests want to have their morning meal, so during these peak-hours our restaurant gets a bit crowdy.
We are sorry for this inconvenience!

Hope to welcome you again in Tallink City Hotel!

Suite features large windows and a nice view over the rooftops. breakfast in the room was excellent, perhaps a little expensive. Good location and varied service.

the hotel's own car park was full and this caused us about an hour-long adventure in the surrounding areas :(

Dear Antti!

Thank you for your review and it is good to read you enjoyed your room, the view and breakfast. Our city centre location ables us unfortunately only limited parking space behind the hotel and therefore we offer our guests the parking possibility with concessionary price across the street in shopping mall parking house.

We hope to welcome you again in Tallink City Hotel!

Unfortunately a rather bad stay, I was part of a Conference group, where other people where staying at nice places (Viru Hôtel, Nordic Hôtel, Park Inn and had great reviews) but my stay was not good. Really extremely arrogant bar staff, have never been talked to that manner. I never complain but this time I have to, the lady at the hotel bar talked so rude that I have to give a bad review. If you CAN stay at another place do so, you want to skip the arrogant service. The service is excellent at the other hotels in Tallinn.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. We stayed here for one night. Some things were good, some things not.

It started with checking in. There was a waiting line of about 30 minutes, which is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel, in my opinion. Another thing that was very strange, was that the hotel recommends to do breakfast early, to avoid 'breakfast rush hour'. This hotel clearly can't handle the amount of guests it can host.

The room was okay, modern looking, but there were a few things strange. Curtains were blocking the sunlight very well, but were too short, so a lot of sunlight got into the room early in the morning (which is around 04:15am at the moment). Also, the bathroom was not cleaned very well. There was a huge gap under the door to the bathroom, which makes going to the toilet not really a private thing.

Breakfast was not very good, product quality was really low. I couldn't eat some of the foods because the taste was just too bad. It all tasted like the cheapest canned foods you can buy. Things like scrambled eggs and 'chicken meat balls' were not warm. I would have preferred less choice and better quality.

On the plus side, they can store your luggage for free.

I can't recommend this hotel. I'm sure there are much better hotels in Tallinn with about the same room prices.

Stayed here 2 nights after having spent the long weekend at Kalev Spa hotel. Tallink City hotel is a very good example of the old Sovjet era. Could easily accommodate 1000 people which you can see during breakfast. Everywhere playing kids bumping into you and spoiling over coffee/juice. The room is also dirty, looks clean but when you have a closer look the toilet has spots on it, the water smells..etc. The furniture is ok, must be recently renovated. The beds are also comfy, but in general you have an unpleasant feeling around you. Would avoid if your budget allows it

We decided ex tempore to go over to Tallinn for one night from Helsinki. It was cheaper to get the hotel via the ferry company, Tallink, than having both separately. The hotel was in excellent location and and very clean. Breakfast was included and apart from having no choice in wether it was a twin or double bed we have no complaints.

During the last year I have visited three different hotel in Tallinn. From those Tallink City hotel represent very standard hotel type - it looks like hotel, it smells like hotel and very probably it tastes like hotel. No big surprises available there. Location is excellent, breakfast is very good, standard room is very basic one. If you hate surprises, go there and enjoy.
