The staff was very helpful. We had to leave before breakfast so they made a breakfast to go for us. Room was quiet. Good free wifi. Good location. About five minutes from some attractions and about 15 from Old Town center.

Room Tip: The rooms away from the street are quieter.

It is my second stay in the Hermitage hotel in Tallinn. Last time we had a
promotion price of 30 euros for a twin room, this time it was standard
price, but Hermitage hotel didn’t disappoint. The hotel is a short taxi
drive both from the airport and bus terminal. All the rooms face the
street so it may get a bit noisy during the summer, but in winter it was
great – warm and quiet. The room is quite big, cozy and has a big French
window. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of both hot and cold
dishes to choose from. The hotel is located approximately 15 minutes walk
to the heart of Tallinn’s old town, but if you want to have a quick bite
near the hotel, unfortunately there is no place. The café that the
reception girl recommended was closed.

We spent 2 nights here in May, 2010 and enjoyed it very much.
The room was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom.
Everything was spic and span.
The breakfast was nice and the lunch "special" was wonderful and cheap. Much better than their
diner the night before at twice the price.

Is located just outside the Old Town and near the train station. Wouldn't you know we came and
went by bus. The local busses and trams stops were just across the street.

This hotel is located right outside of the old city wall. The walk to the old city is less than 10 minutes and it is a lovely walk up (and down) a tree lined boulevard. Good staff, comfortable, small room. Very good value. Next door is a superb restaurant that serves lovely haute cuisine style food with a touch of Estonia. This hotel is not in the middle of the old town, but then again, its prices are less than those of similar facilities in the old town. Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not face the street and is in a corner of the building. We had such a room...

Stayed for five nights for business and I am absolutely exhausted for lack of sleep due to traffic noise. The rooms were very warm, even it was not hot outside so you had to have the window open with no aircondition. Otherwise it was clean, staff ok, but didnt like it when I complained and asked for more quiet room, but they were fully booked so...

First, let me start by saying that this is by no means a bad hotel. It is generally clean, conveniently located for the old town and we found the staff pleasant and helpful. None the less, some fairly minor issues made our stay less enjoyable than it would otherwise have been:

- During our stay, the weather in Tallinn varied from a bit chilly to pleasantly warm. Our room (and that of the friends who travelled with us) seemed not to have any temperature control at all and was always unbelievably hot. In fact, the whole hotel seemed to have the heating constantly set to "tropical" apart from the restaurant / breakfast room where the air conditioning made it bearable.

- As other reviewers have noted, the main breakfast room is small and it's difficult to find a table (even one to share). On the second and final mornings of our stay, they did open another room at the back which was quieter. However, on the last morning we found that the tablecloths in there hadn't been changed or even wiped from the day before and that some of the hot food on the breakfast buffet had gone cold.

- Our room had two quite flat pillows per person. When we asked at the reception for another pillow we were told there was a 10 euro charge. Maybe this is common practice in Tallinn but we've never been charged for additional pillows anywhere else.

Despite these problems, I feel the hotel still represents reasonable value given what we paid for our stay.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the main road suffer from traffic noise and noise from drunken guests returning in the...
