We are presently staying at this hotel which is in a perfect location for walking down into town. We're really impressed with the new modern decor in the bedrooms, lovely light coloured walls, beautiful curtains and cushions along with crispy white bedding-perfect for a good nights sleep! There is also a wall mounted TV' in our room and also free Wifi. The bathroom is of a good size with fresh towels daily and we have a shower in our bathroom which is fine.
Breakfast has been delicious and consists of a buffet breakfast table with cereals, fruit, juices etc. followed by a full English cooked breakfast. We have also just had a lovely pot of tea for two and a yummy piece of walnut cake-tea and cake served every afternoon to guests free of charge!
Every member of staff has been very helpful and really made us feel welcome. We will be coming back again to this lovely hotel!
Thank you very much for a great feedback.
It was truly a pleasure to read how much you appreciated the design of our hotel and the services we provide and to know that you thoroughly enjoyed your experience with us.
We look forward to welcoming you back to The Merchants House Hotel very soon.
With kind regards,
This hotel is located right behind Tallinn town square, but on a quieter side street. The buildings go back centuries, and the renovation of the premises has been done with style. There was a Unesco world heritage wall in our room! The personnel was very friendly and everything worked. Will go back when I want to pamper myself. The hotel is not cheap in Tallinn standards, but surely worth the investment.
Thank you for your kind words.
I am very glad that you found your stay here enjoyable and we cannot wait to have you here at Merchants House Hotel again.
Hopefully on your return you will try the new restaurant that will be opening in November. this is based closely on Rataskaevu16, which you also visited on your trip to Tallinn
A fabulous hotel in a central location with wonderful rooms, and cosy, with open fires to banish even the coldest winter!
Visited in January and was impressed by the hotel, which surpassed expectations even though I'd carefully selected it myself from the 'net.
Fantastic rooms and the ice bar was an experience.
Thank goodness for my fur coat to keep me warm, though, whilst outside!
Should go back for a visit at a warmer time of year, though, to experience the beautiful architecture of Talinn.
Thank you for your time and effort that you put into this feedback post! I am sure that this will help other tripadvisor users to make their choice.
I am also glad that you took the energy to express your satisfaction in a way like you did.
Looking forward to welcoming you back to tallinn and the Merchants House Hotel during summer even though winter will be arriving soon.
This hotel is really beautiful. If you want a really lovely experience then spend the extra money and book the suite. It had a fabulous free standing bath and was very romantic. The location is great, just a stones throw from the Medieval square and Town Hall.We also visisted the ice bar in the hotel and experienced vodka served in a glass made from ice!
The breakfast was excellent too, lots of choice. The staff on reception were amazing, really helpful and friendly ,nothing was too much trouble! We loved Tallin and this hotel and would love to return sometime in the future.
We have just spent 3 nights at the Merchant House in Tallinn and we could not be happier with a hotel. We are very seasoned travelers and this gem would have to be close to the top of the list of hotels we have ever stayed in. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated. The location was excellent. We had a few minor problems with the air-conditioner but the manager and his staff bent over backwards to ensure it was rectified and that we were comfortable. The food in the Entrecoat restaurant was world class. Our stay was part of a 3 night summer package that included dinner and wine in the restaurant. Being part of a package we were a little concerned that the meal might have been low quality. We were very surprised. An inventive menu cooked and presented in a world class manner with wine to match. Well done to all at Merchant's House, Thank you Jonathon. Highly recommend to anyone.
