My family and I got back from last weekend's memorable stay at this great luxury hotel in Tallinn. What an experience! I am a frequent traveler at 5-star hotels and really think this is one of the very best. We celebrated my mother's birthday at Telegraaf with a family get-together and also enjoyed a memorable birthday dinner at the Russian restaurant Tchaikovsky. Early prior to our stay I contacted the hotel reservations department via e-mail and their staff did a great and professional job arranging everything: special wishes, harbor and airport pickups, dinner reservation, and extras for the room (all for extra charge). I would like to thank especially Ms. Karin Tani for her quality work in preparing everything and doing the bookings. Pickups were professional and fast, ensuring a warm welcome in windy Tallinn. Check-in at the hotel was pleasant and we were immediately appointed our rooms on the 5th floor with a view of the courtyard over Tallin rooftops. Rooms were stylish and had all the amenities you would ever want. Pretty carpet floors and fast free wifi connection. Many details to show the history of the building (like an old-looking telephone in the room). The hotel also arranged a bouquet of white roses to my mom's room and a bottle of a quality sparkling wine in a cooler. The beds were wonderful and Emeris spa amenities had a luxury touch. Daily turndown service with chocolate bars and a free water bottle. We tried the spa and liked the jacuzzi and the saunas. The spa was quite crowded in the afternoon but the pool was very refreshing (in Roman style). Dinner was wonderful with 3 courses, two additional greetings from the chef, live classical music, and a birthday suprise by the restaurant staff - they sang happy birthday and brought my mom a dessert with a candle. She was very delighted - and surprised! Breakfast was of a good quality with a small but quality buffet and many hot dishes cooked to your liking on order (included in the fare). Coffee and teas were very good. All-in-all our stay was up to all expectations and promises by the hotel staff. I would recommend Telegraaf to anyone looking for a luxury city break in a beautiful location in Tallinn old town. Thank you Telegraaf staff for making your guests feel special and so welcome!
