“My favorite hotel!”
Reviewed 23 December 2011

Second visit, this time with my husband. This hotel delivers 100% in every way. Every request is answered helpfully, always genuine service with a smile. Love the breakfast buffet. And the bartenders know how to make a proper margarita. Definitely my favorite hotel:-)

Brilliant service, spacious and clean rooms. Maybe something to improve would be the reception area...in case you have to wait there is only a few seats and the bar is quite small. Small lounge would work?

I've travelled around a lot and Hotel Telegraaf took my breath away. Although the hotel made a mistake and my partner and I ended up in single beds on our first night because we arrived late at night, this was remedied the next morning. The rooms are glam, really comfortable and have everything you would expect of a true five star. Elemis toiletries are lovely, towels and dressing gowns fluffy, nice sofa that you would actually sit on (I never make use of sofas in hotels normally!) and the bed is comfortable. The only thing I would improve on are the pillows.

Breakfast was included and is served 7.30am until 10.30am weekdays and until 11.30am at the weekends. The restaurant is gorgeous, very romantic, and the staff seem to be falling over themselves to help. Buffet breakfast has a good selection but there are also items which will be cooked to order. Best of all, there's unlimited prosecco! A couple of glasses will get you feeling merry at that time in the morning and keep out the winter chill when you venture out into the Old Town.

Amazing location, very well priced, great food, service, all round winner. So lovely that my partner proposed during our trip :-)

Room Tip: Make sure you specify a double bed

Telegraaf is a nice small hotel on Vene street, Russian style in a very modern way, including excellent Tshaikovsky restaurant - food was so GOOD!! Service is so good, everybody smiles and helps. Breakfast is tasty. A little spa is enjoyable with steam sauna (good) and normal (too dry), little pool and jacuzzi. Room was nice, but why did I cough all night long without having a cough? I think it's because of the fitted carpet. A hair dryer was too small to function. I loved the hotel. And we got the room already in the morning at 10, which was marvellous.

We were so pleased with the Hotel Telegraaf. The location is perfect - just off the main square in the old town and just opposite the two most fabulous bohemian, chocolate / magnificent cake / hot wine serving cafes in Tallinn!
The rooms are solid and stylish, with really comfortable beds and absolutely no sound pollution from your neighboring guests. Breakfast is wonderful, served in the atmospheric restaurant.
Staff are professional but not at all stuffy.
The spa is lovely too.
Highly recommended - enjoy!

I have just got back from a 2 night stay at the Telegraaf hotel. We could not fault this hotel. Central old town location - near all local attractions, main square, restaurants and bars. The rooms are decent size, very clean, powerful shower and the beds are nice and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with help yourself buffet style: juices, champagne, pastries, cereals, toast, cold meats, smoked salmon. hot eggs, bacon, tomatoes etc with the added option to order several freshly prepared dishes (porridge, egg florentine, fried eggs with bacon and sausages, pancakes and many more). It isn't one of the cheaper hotels in Tallinn but well worth the extra money you pay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed for short break to visit Old town and Xmas market. Hotel was in great location right next to centre of old town. Hotel was small but very stylish, rooms were perfect although we had a room overlooking a wall! Bar area by reception was ok and service was a bit slow at times but overall we had a great time and would recommend the hotel to anyone.
