“Not a 4 star hotel!”
Reviewed 1 November 2011

So far, the worst hotel experience during the last 4 years. The hotel is very average, would not recommend to stay if you are used to at least high standard 3 stars. Room: a weird decoration. A lot of disturbing red colour, which, together with the nude photo on the wall, gives a strange feeling being in a bordelle... I was here on a business trip and was expecting something different. Next unpleasant surprise was absence of supplies (shampoo, body lotion, etc) in the room. Had to buy a sample shampoo bottle at the beauty salon for 6 euro. There was also a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom coming from a sink. The sink was not working properly. Temperature of the water in the evening was very low, I am loving hot shower and was not able to take one because it was too cold. I had a room on the 2 floor, most probably there was a laundry above me, because even during the night I was disturbed by the work of washing mashines. Breakfast: plenty of things, but a strange selection, e.g. Fried chicken or herring. Juice was not good, coffee as well. Spa: water was too cold, even in jacuzzi. I was not able to enjoy. Beauty salon: I took some body treatments, they were fine, can recommend. Staff: is helpful and polite. Overall, not a good hotel for a business travel.

A very nice, well presented hotel. one of the nicest that I have stayed in in eastern europe. Staff were friendly and helpful. A porter was at the front door and available to arrange a taxi for you if required. That service wasn't needed much as there was always a taxi just outside the front door. Rooms were clean and tidy. A little bit on the small side but that wasn't a problem for me. Breakfast was your usual fare, cold meats, cereals, bread, hot food etc. It was all pretty good. I would have no hesitation in reccommending this hotel to anyone. It was about a 10 minute stroll from the old town. I found Tallinn to be a safe and fairly friendly place to move around..

We stayed at the hotel in 26-28.9 for 2 nights and it was the most perfect city break.
This was the second time we stayed at the hotel and nothing had changed from the previous visit in 2010 january.
The spa at the hotel is very modern and luxorius compairing to others I´v visited.
(example Kalev Spa hotel & Pirita top spa hotel). It has 7 saunas all together and different kinds of pools, with water massage etc... Theres even a pool from were you can swim outside.
I took in Hera beaty center 3 treatments and they were all made with excellent Sothys products and the therapist was very professional. My mama took 3 hours lasting treatment combo and was also the most satisfied!
The diner in the hotel restaurant was delicious and the servise carefree, even we just got in 15minutes before the kitchen was closing.
The wine was served in right tempature and was good quality. We enjoyed after the diner some deserts at the lobby bar, cos they had there amazing fresh cakes even at midnight, which was suprising!
Our room had twin beds as requested and the decoration of the rooms are very colourfull but stylish. The only negative side is that the beds were quite narrow, thought the mattres was good.
Our rooms location was this time to the harbor side, I must recommend that the room with a pool side view is more cozy. The standard room is also missing slippers so bring your own!
Also there is no iron, but the laundry service prices are very fair.
For a person that doest like to walk the location might be also a problem there is about 300 metres to the old town and 500 metres to the city centre. In case the taxis are cheap and there is bus stop near to the hotel in terminal A and also tram connection in about 150m distance.
The staff is very different in reception, some girls hardly smile or talk but some were very out going. Especially one lady was extremely helpfull and even called for us to Stockmann shop to solve out one question from our bill.
The Aqua spa reception boy was super gentleman and always talked with us with a smile.

Within 10 minutes walking distance from the center of the old Town, the Talllink Spa and Conference Hotel provides an excellent service and stay for a reasonable price. The staff is friendly, rooms and breakfast are excellent, and the complex of saunas and swimming pools is unbeatable and free for hotel guests from 7AM to the opening to the general public (what happens at about 9 or 10AM). A good choice outside the old town, but close enough to make a good alternative.

Greeted by lovely reception staff which is always a good indication of a hotel as a whole & the hotel is nice. Very modern without being OTT, the pool area is fab - probably everything you could possibly want. Room was spacious with twin beds (no surprise there, don't think general Europe DO doubles!!), not enough coat-hangers, & no hooks for coats. BUT a word of warning - we were on the front and the traffic noise was constant with an obvious increase when a ship came in to dock,if you're not used to noise this would possibly spoil your enjoyment of the hotel. There is a nightclub opposite too but this caused us no trouble. The breakfast choice is great, something for everyone but it is a bit of a free-for-all especially for tea/coffee. Hotel is only about 3-4 mins from the top of the Old Town but the City Tour bus stop are further away, maybe 7-8 minutes walk. There is no immediate tram stop & we think there was only one bus that came past the hotel (information on this as you booked in would have been appreciated). All-in-all I would recommend this hotel to any traveller.

Room Tip: Don't be at the front of the hotel, its like the window is open the noise is so clear :(

During our stay in Tallinn we visited the spa of this hotel, which is also open for non-guests of the hotel. We had a fantastic afternoon. We paid less than 10 EUR per person and could use all their pools and saunas for 2 hours. The facilities were very clean and up-to-date. I would definitely recommend to pay them a visit.

The rooms ate clean and tidy, although the maid service could do with improvement, as they just did a cursory quick gift if the beds and nothing else.

Staff are friendly and helpful.

The breakfast is ok, nothing more than that.

The highlight if the hotel is the Cigar Bar on the 5th floor. Great selection and able to sit and enjoy cigars whilst sipping on cognac in nice surroundings.

Spa is ok, nothing special but you have to be up early to enjoy the free part for guests.

The price is about right for what you get.
