Stayed at Euroopa while on a tour. Got a room with a view of the harbor! Ask for one. Front desk staff are nice, but " reserved." The breakfast is ample, and the uncooked "bacon" is well documented by others. It is a "simple" 10 minute walk to the old town from this location. And, again, I must say " ask for a "harbor view" room. Our room did have a cracked window, and a cracked bathroom sink. Looks like a lot of "partying" goes on in the hotel ?

Room Tip: ask for a "harbor view" room.

This is a good 4-star hotel but the food for breakfast had a lot to be desired. Pork is the primary meat dish and it is usually bacon that is still raw by American Standards. One must ask for it to be cooked again. But, this is not unusual in this area of Europe. Breakfast meats, cheeses and very good bread were available along with Watermelon. Great beds, Clean rooms, very good personnel with manners befitting class and culture. I was amazed at the number of young people throughout the area who are very trim and healthy looking yet nearly all of them smoked an excessive amount of cigarettes.

Room Tip: Just ask the reservation agent for a good room. Each of them want to please and try very hard to...

We shared a triple room here which was very comfortable. Service was good, apart from one unfriendly waitress at fbreakfast, but that was an exception. The location is good, particularly if like us you are taking an early morning ferry to helsinki. Breakfast is also good. We stayed three nights.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the sea

My room was really great, good bed with wonderful pillows lots of space, but, since hotel is non smoking one, there was loads of doors banging when people went out for a smoke. In my floor, there was a group of 20+ youngsters, who didn't spit on glass and were quite loud at times, while drinking in their rooms. Also, AC was not too effective, but apart from those, i was really happy with my stay, except the restaurant...
I have eaten my share of hotel breakfast buffets around the world and most of them had crispy and hot bacon, do not except that in this hotel, it was barely warm and sloppy, Totally inedible!
Juices were bland cheap brand? ones, not what you expect to get at 4 star hotel.
Last day i decided to give "Olive" one more chance and headed there for lunch, big mistake, I did order Tapas and got selection of Mediterranean vegetables that must have came from can or jar, few slices of parmesan like cheese and local thin salami, all swimming in low grade olive oil. Eating those was bit messy, so i asked for a napkin, (i first sat on table that had setting ready, but was asked to move to table that didn't have napkin, just knife, fork and wineglass) the waitress did bring me a bundle of unfolded paper that looked more of what you expect to use in toilet. For my main i had Pasta ai Quattro Formaggi, very creamy, but not very cheesy small portion of over cooked pasta, that had withered rocket on top.

I would gladly stay in this again, but i would avoid the restaurant like a plague. Plenty of great cuisine around town offer better value for the money.

We have been there for private reasons and think that the all over result is just about average. Friends if us got used sheets on the bed which have been changed suddenly. Our room was clean and nice!!

We stayed there as part of a tour package. It is relatively new but a basic construction where the joins in the bedrooms between walls and ceilings were concealed by sealant. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms which are quite small and pokey. Being a tourist hotel, buses are coming and going noisily all day and night making front rooms unpleasant. We decided foolishly to eat in one night and were served a squashed and soggy Vienna Schnitzel with a limited wine list. It is worth making the relatively short walk to the nearby old town for meals as there is a wide choice of restaurants. Breakfast is fully buffet with a limited selection apart from the watery scrambled eggs. In 3 days there, the only fresh fruit was a few slices of watermelon on one day. Their dry cleaning service failed completely with 2 pairs of trousers I needed for a 2 week river cruise in Russia being forgotten while my wife and I wasted a full afternoon vainly waiting for them in our room so we could pack for an early departure the next morning. The air conditioning is illusory as any adjustment to the controls achieved nothing. We ended up concluding that the controls were only there for show, like a placebo.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Marina are quieter.

The location of Euroopa in Tallinn is very convenient since it is within walking distance of the ferry terminal as well as the Old Town. There is also a gas station nearby where you can get water instead of using the mini bar. You can recharge your electronic equipment here without the adapter if you are from the States. Staff is nice and helpful:-)
