We stayed there for a week and we found the hotel a maze so no room is the same. Yes the hotel is in the centre but the staff dont know where the nearest ATM is and the noise on a Fri/Sat night is horrendous.

Room Tip: Dont book a room near the disco unless you're going there!

We where reading a lot of negative reviews about this hotel before we left. Those people where wrong !! To start, this is the BEST location to stay at, walking distance to the mall, the Russian market and the ferry to Helsinki. Yes the rooms are a little noisy but you're also in a city that was build in the 1200. The people don't always say hi first. But you get a hello back when you say hi to them. The rooms are a little small, but then if you go to Tallinn to sit in you're room a different country would be better for you. The breakfast is Russian, Estonia food. Potatoes, fish, pasta, toast and eggs. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The history of that building is enough to stay there. Anna at the front desk is the sweatest person. We stayed in room 122 what connects to the back yard. The had local music every evening till 11. Noisy but not anoying. I would go back to Tallinn and this Hotel in a heartbeat.

This hotel has character. Right in the old town, just a few hundred meters from the town hall square, ideal to explore Tallinn. The hotel has no elevator, so be prepared. Creaky wooden floors, a maze of corridors, this hotel is authentic. My room was small, as was the bathroom, both well equipped. My room was facing the courtyard, so quiet! Slept well. Had dinner at the hotel, which I enjoyed. Breakfast buffet was good. Next to the main entrance of the hotel is a cozy terrace. The hotel offers free WiFi.

Room Tip: rooms on courtyard side are quieter

This hotel is really special, quaint, quirky and attractive. It was clean, friendly and best of all the location is amazing. It is built into the city walls so it is unique and very Estonian. Breakfast was amazing with lots to choose from and well prepared and displayed. Rooms were large and comfortable. It is less than a minute to the old town square. Can't be beaten!

I have stayed here a couple of times as the location is quite perfect. You are literally a two minute walk away from the Old Town Main Square. The rooms are basic but very clean and the staff are formal and helpful.

In the center of old city.
No elevator. Do not come with a lot of luggage!
Steps are very steep.
Very very hot room.Has floor heating in the bathroom all year...Even in the summer when not needed.
After complaining about the hot room,we received another fan.It was still not enough.
There are 3 small windows that don't help much when opened.
Service was good and helpful.

We did spend two nights on hotel. The reservation was made via Eckerö Lines and on voucher we had standard room with double bed. When we arrived the first given room was very small economy room on third floor with two different beds- so we climbed back from the third floor back to reception to change the room. A new room was quite much like it was written in the voucher, still quite small. There was no air condition so the window was open all night long. Breakfast was littlebit below avarage and same with the service attitude of staff. So smile was quite hard get from them..Historic style is quite nice in hotel, but overall it is not worth for 4 stars. Still the location is ok.

Room Tip: Higher floor is probably quite hot on summer- no air condition on rooms
