“A real gem - glad I found it”
Reviewed 22 July 2013

Even top quality restaurants in Tallinn get lower scores from me. But Baieri Kelder deserves 5 stars for various reasons. Nope, it's not perfect if we don't look at their prices. But if we do - it's a bargain. First of all, they have really good snacks - we ordered 2 different plates of snacks (one wasn't perfect, really), some grilled onions (nice), some garlic bread (incredibly good), some meat (perfect - Beer House should be ashamed) and, of course, a lot of beer. Not many beers to choose from, but Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr is enough if you're into good beers you know and love. Beer prices are on par with other places, but food is so much cheaper that only this fact makes me wanna go there the next time I want to drink beer (not happening soon after drinking for 10 days straight - thanks to our friends coming here and spending this period with us). The atmosphere is above average, but the staff is really nice and friendly. All in all this place deserves 4 stars, but we enjoyed it so much that 5 stars seems just right for me.

Дорогой Andrey K!

“A little slice of Oktoberfest in Tallinn”
Reviewed 2 February 2013 via mobile

The schweingaxen was superb as was the sauerkraut that came with it. The lack of many other patrons, far from offputting was a minor relief from the usual crowded noisy restaurants that pervade the area surrounding old town.

“Chilly due to the lack of customers”
Reviewed 3 November 2012

We stayed at the hotel in which this bar is found so it would have been a great place to drink but there was absolutely no atmosphere and very few other people drinking and certainly not eating there. It is a shame as the food the hotel served at breakfast time was lovely but it would have been like eating at your own kitchen table at home.

“Atmosferic german style restaurant near old town”
Reviewed 9 July 2012

Considering the amount of excellent restaurants with very good prices in central Tallinn, this is left a bit below good. The food is not bad, and the prices are not very high (mains about 6-20€), but the food is only good, not excellent like in some nearby restaurants. The locale is very nice, with real stone walls and nice elements.

“Go saksamaa!”
Reviewed 6 June 2012

Best Schweinshaxen outside Germany. Paulanerbeer as much as you can drink. A very nice place. But they need to fix the music player and throw out than insanely distracting flatscreen, showing lame 80s music videos. We want proper music that fit the food and atmosphere!

Dear Superfritz! Thank you for you appreciation of our Schweinshaxen or Roast Pork Shank! Actually we even heard sometimes from Germans that our Shank is better than in Germany!
Next time you will be in Baieri kelder ask from waitress and she will put for you authentic German music, no problem! =)
