“Excellent food and wine”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

We had a great dinner. The menu was short and sophisticated - not a hamburger in sight. The wine list extensive and the modest wine we chose was available and well priced. In a different league to any other meal we had Tallin.

“I don't think I will come back”
Reviewed 23 June 2014 via mobile

When we arrived at the restaurant, they did not know about our reservation which was done through their website 3 weeks before, never the less they found us a table easily because the restaurant was pretty empty. We were in a small room and the reason why was that they were cleaning the restaurant.
When it comes to the food I might say that it was average but the price was too high for what we have eaten and corresponding more to an outstanding restaurant. Overall I do not recommend this place.

“Bordoo is not the same”
Reviewed 4 December 2013

After chef Tõnis Siigur left the restaurant earlier this year due to the change of owner of the Three Sister Hotel, Bordoo is not the same. Still there are great interiors and very caring service, but the menu, put together by a new chef is very ordinary, and the quality of food served is very average. The chocolate fondant is a total disaster. The quiche lorraine was microwaved before serving. The green salad beside the quiche was faded. The mussels were nothing special at all.

Now it does to worth to go where to have a proper food. Interiors are good though.

“Ambience +”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

We stumbled upon this after getting off the boat from Finland and coming through Fat Margaret's Gate. Not our usual lunchtime fare bit we really enjoyed our meal of scallops, rabbit and steak! We sat in the courtyard on a beautiful sunny day and were very well served. The highlight was going to the toilet which were amazing with stained glass everywhere and highly decorated.

“Nice meal, good quality and caring staff”
Reviewed 27 August 2013 via mobile

Two excellent lunches: one inside, in the rather formal restaurant, the other in the very nicely arranged court yard, offering a direct entrance from the street. Excellent pike perch and duck "confit", both interesting and delicious, followed by tasty desserts. The service was excellent, both times.
Two negative points : billing tap water (although served in a beautiful carafe, with slices of cucumber and lemon), perhaps because I did not order any wine? Then, I have difficulties with a boss, quarrelling his staff in front of the client. Whatever the reason is, you should never do that, and certainly not in a Relais&Chateau....
