The hotel room was very good. We opted for a suite because the price was about the same for three people in a double and less than two rooms. The location is very good, about five minutes form the old town and very quite. However, the hotel is expensive, even at Talinn rates. Two other gripes:
- The front desk was not helpful either time I asked (soccer game logistics and aranging a taxi to drive by a monument on the way tot he airport)
- Although breakfast was very expansive buffet, I was very hard to find a clear table

We stayed at this hotel for a week and would have no problem reccomending it. It's location is excellent so close to Old Town, excellent shopping also close by.
When we arrived we were told our room was not ready and we were given a voucher for a drink in the bar while we waited, however we couldn't use it for coffee, and had to pay for it, the bar man was not very obliging or friendly. We had to wait over an hour for the room. At this stage we didn't have a great impression of the hotel. However things did improve, our room was lovely, on the eight floor and away from the traffic. Good lighting for reading in bed. No problem with the bathroom and the glass wall! However was surprised that no shampoo or body lotion was supplied. There was a problem with the shower in that a nasty smell was coming from the shower outlet. Very quiet hotel, beds lovely, not great pillows and the air conditioning was great as we had temperatures in the high twenties. Breakfast was excellent, Large selection to choose from, cereal choice was limited alright, first morning things were very busy but it was fine after that. Restaurant staff very efficient. Reception were helpful but some could be friendlier. Overall after staying here for a week we would have no problem returning and would advise others to stay here.

Just came back from a fantastic trip here a few days ago. When I informed the check-in desk that this was the European part of our honeymoon we were upgraded to a suite on the highest floor. Free wifi, coffee-making machine/complimentary water, plenty of space, lovely furniture and a well-designed bathroom/shower.
Staff were polite and helpful, always smiling and willing to help.
Breakfast was decent, though one small negative was that it was extremely busy, they maybe need to extend their restaurant's size or add more tables.
The location was fantastic, about 2 mins walk to Viru gate in old city and just across the road there were some nice market stalls for souvenir shopping.
Saw the pool but didnt have the chance to use it, looked quite nice though.
Tallinn is a charming place and this hotel was a great base for me to explore it.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms are nicer and not noisy

The hotel was one of the best i have been to , friendly staff who were always pleased to help you no matter what may be the problem. Had the deluxe room go for it would not let you down. large room, big bed lots more room overall. Breakfast was more then enough to fill us to last all day, all choices to pick from, can get a bit busy around 8.00 in the morning. spa and pool, v good. Overall would go again. Also location is very good for all shops, trips across the road, and old time 5mins away.

my husband and i stayed at the nordic for a week. we arrived late and they had run out of standard rooms and we were upgraded to a deluxe. the view of the baltic sea from our room was amazing. the staff were friendly all over the hotel. the spa attached to the hotel offers really good service at really good prices. the bed was sooooooo comfortable and the bed linens were top quality. the bathroom featured a glass shower as well as a large tub. both the bedroom and bathroom were really large and were very clean. the location is perfect. you are right on the edge of old town and just behind the hotel is a theater. the port is a short walk away. many bars and restaurants are very close by. i loved this place so much and hopefully i will come back to tallinn one day.
the only complaint is the limited choice on the room service menu. do not order the fish and chips unless you like a little fish with your grease. it was gross!

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the baltic
