“Nice city hotel”
Reviewed 29 July 2012

i am usually staying in Tallink hotel, because of the best location, but now i decided to book room from hotel Nordic Forum. WhI have visited many times before there in Conferences.
Service was nice and friendly, room was large, clean, modern and quiet. The view from the window was nice.
Location opposite of Viru Hotel is excellent.
Breakfast wa just fine.

Everything about this hotel is tops! Location is about a 5 minute walk from old town. Breakfast buffet was fantastic - things like meatballs, mushrooms, eggs, baked beans, cheeses, fruit, etc. - you will not go hungry. But, it was always very crowded starting from 7am until 8:30am, but staff did a good job cleaning tables promptly. The exercise facilty on 8th floor were superb - pool, steam room, sauna, jaccuzi, locker rooms, scales - free. Rooms were fine - tv was basic CNN, BBC for English. Staff was very helpful. They have 1 free PC/Internet to use near reception. I would stay here again anytime.

I spent one night here just to explore Tallinn. When I arrived I was told that my room was not ready yet and would be ready in about 30-45 minutes. I was given two drink vouchers for the lounge bar. I think they handled the delay very well in this regard. I found the lounge bar quite comfy and the staff there were nice and polite.

My room was in the 5th floor and faced the building itself that forms a square in the back side. So there was no street noise to the room at all. The room was spacious and very modern. The room has a tv, minibar and a safe, also room controllable AC. The room has a very fresh decor that is quite different from any other hotel I've been to.

Bathroom was in good condition and also very large. The shower divider wall is quite short so the floor gets a bit wet after showering but it's not as bad as it could be due to the grade in the floor to the drain. There's a loudspeaker for the tv in the bathroom.

The bed was very soft and comfy. There were two very good pillows on the bed, very much to my liking. The noise insulation in my room seemed to be pretty good. Some noise from room above occasionally but nothing too loud. Also very little noise from the corridor.

There was an incident with my minibar during the stay. Previous guest had eaten the chips and put the empty can back in to the minibar. This had been missed by the cleaning staff (I guess since the room cleaning was late anyway that they were cleaning in a hurry). I called the reception and they did make a note not to charge me for the chips. At the checkout time they did acknowledge the note so the issue was in my opinion handled properly by the hotel staff. I do hope they make sure the cleaners pay better attention to this in the future, as it is the oldest trick in the book so to say.

Saldly I didn't have time to try out the relaxation center in the hotel and I also missed the breakfast so I cannot review those.

Overall the staff was very professional, attentive and service oriented. Without those two minor issues my stay was very pleasant.

Room Tip: One away the street (looking in to the building itself).

We are usually staying in Viru but now it was over-booked so we booked room in hotel Nordic Forum. What a Great surprise this was!!
Service was nice and friendly, room was big, clean, modern and quiet. The view from the window was nice.
I have totally nothing bar to say about this hotel. If you are in Tallinn stay here and enjoy the athmosphere.
There is Great restaurant in old town called Talu Körts near the hotel. Great food and perfect service! Visit also there. :)

The hotel was perfect for us. We were a family of 3 with 2 adults and 1 child stayed one night. We had a nice double room with space for extra bed. The room was clean and tidy. There was good variety in the breakfast buffet - they had everything both children and adults wanted. The pool on the top floor was great. Large and spacious with both a Jacuzzi and a small waterfall. Wardrobe conditions were fine and it was a great sauna. We visited the pool during the evening before going to sleep and again right after breakfast. Our 4 year old daughter loved it. Mom also had a stay at the spa in the 1st floor - manicure and pedicure - cheap rates and pleasant experience. (the only minus was that the two agents were talking a lot of Estonian together while they treated me) The hotel's location near the old town is great - but also close to modern shopping and department stores like Stockmann. The reception staff were particularly friendly and welcoming. Coming back to this hotel - guaranteed :-)

This hotel has a very central location in the opposite of viru keskus. Its only a few minutes walk from the old town and it's lovely restaurants and lounge bars.
There is a very nice spa in this hotel that is worth a visit. The breakfast is versatile and nice as well. Everything worked well and the staff is helpful and multilingual.

a clean and very well located hotel just outside the old-town walls of Tallinn. Easy access to all locations within Tallinn and surroundings. (Btw: location directly in old-town is not recommended as its difficult to access by car).
Hotel is cool northern design - friendly staff.
Breakfast is good as well - big buffet.
Stayed there already several times - excellent service - price ratio.
