“Excellent hotel in the heart of Tallinn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2014

We have stayed in the Nordic Hotel Forum several times. The location is really really good: in the heart of the modern city, and really close to the old town: only 5 minutes walk away. Also the harbor is only 10 minutes walk away.
The service is great, the staff is really helpful with all you problems. They have own garage, where you can park your car. You need pay around 15 eur/ day. This hotel has nice spa on the top floor, I really recommend to visit the spa.
Breakfast is really good, it has everything you can ask for a breakfast: pasty, cheese, ham, eggs, porridge, veggies, fruits, yoghurt etc.. It was also nice surprise to notice, that they have spread the breakfast area, because during our earlier visit the breakfast area has been too crowded. Now there was not at all this kind of problem.
I really recommend this hotel for all visitors in Tallinn!

Room Tip: There a nice rooms with a street view!

I had the opportunity to be in this hotel for a few days with family. The Hotel is strategically placed just by the Old Town in the center of the city. The Hotel is Modern and comfortable, and the personnel is very professional.

A nice point is the breakfast which is great, you can find a variety of foods and the quality is excellent. A very good way to start the day to explore Tallin after a complete breakfast.

However my stay was not that good due a couple of imperfections. First the WIFI is a complete disgrace. From some rooms the WIFI coverage is non-existent, and after asking this point to Reception they showed me a nice map with colours showing me that my room was outside the coverage, but they didn’t do anything!!!, basically the hotel knows that the WIFI is miserable but they don’t do anything.

Another point is the SPA. In holiday season can be overcrowded, it is a very nice facility but clearly unable to support the utilization of many people at the same time. Another point would be to ban alcoholic beverages in the SPA. This point made the visit uncomfortable as while you are trying to relax some people get noisy and party by the pool with Beer and/or Wines.

And final point is the parking. During my stay the parking access machines broke down daily, which it doesn’t tell much about the quality of the installations, but I believe they might have solved this issue.

In conclusion, this is one great hotel but specially the WIFI point can be extremely disturbing as any traveller nowadays relies in convenient broadband internet access.

Room Tip: I had a Main Street room (7th floor) and it was quiet and with lots of light. I would recommend a ma...

Dear JoseMaria123,

Thank you for taking time to send us your comments. We are glad that you were satisfied with the hotel services in general. However, we are concerned that several points did make you unpleased. What concerns wifi coverage then there are some areas and rooms were wifi signal is not strong enough depending on the device you are using. Still most of the hotel rooms and public areas have good wifi coverage. The management is aware about the problem and we are in the process of purchasing new wifi equipment. I hope that will eliminate WiFi problems in the very near future.

We have a relatively small leisure centre/ pool area and it might be overcrowded during some weekends and holiday season, that is right and we have advised our staff to take more control over consumption of the alcohol at our premises. If you have chance to stay with us during working days then you would be able to enjoy our leisure centre in a quiet and cozy atmosphere.

Once again we are very pleased for your feedback and hope to welcome you back at the Nordic Hotel Forum soon.

Wishing you well,

Feliks Mägus

What a beautiful hotel - great value of money cheaper than Radisson & better quality - just perfect breakfast - huge choise (can be compared to Radisson center offering), indoor pool with ciry & harbour views - free of charge in the mornings, comfortable room and great service.

Room Tip: Upper floors have a view

The hotel was booked for us by our supplier-host. They usually book us in fancier or boutique hotels but this time, this was chosen due to the size of the delegation and also the accessibility of the hotel for huge transport vehicles (like the buses that brought us around Estonia). It was not bad- clean, rooms are of average design and size, amenities are to normal standard. What's great is that the location is very good in terms of accessibility to the old town and to other interesting attractions. One setback is the inconsistency of the service, depending on the staff, some are service-oriented but the others at the reception and especially during breakfast, seem to despise their jobs that they are nasty not only to us but to themselves as well (frowning faces all the time, I pity them). But altogether, experience was not bad. But would prefer to go back to our usual hotels in Tallinn.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in May 2014 for a weekend getaway and loved it. It's in such a good location - a few minutes from the Old Town or the port/marina and close to the modern city centre too. The room was spotless, cleaned daily, good facilities and not to mention the beautifully maintained spa on the top floor. Even better was the breakfast buffet which served up anything you could ever want for breakfast, including local dishes and the usual breakfast dishes. The staff were friendly. Can't find any faults. It's about 2 km from the airport and the number 2 bus takes you pretty much right to it (right around the corner). I know there are cheaper hotels and hostels in Tallinn but the little extra we paid for the good breakfast and the spa was definitely well worth it - and when you consider what you get for your money, it's still cheap!
