Hotel excludes charm - tastefully renovated with brickwork showing through plaster walls and antiques adorning the walls, hallways and restaurant but with all modern features and bathroom amply provisioned- no hauling suitcases up flights of stairs - a lift available. A pleasing hotel to walk into.
Breakfast buffet would please a protein lover but a little light on for bread and cereal eaters but for European tastes a very good breakfast. We had a superior room because of the three adults - two rooms with a bathroom - very spacious and air-con provided so that windows could be closed. Even with the double glazed windows we could still hear the thump-thump-thump of the bass music echoing up into our second floor room - but that only occurred on the Friday night - the last of our three night stay. I always travel with ear plugs anyway because of a previous experience with a Spanish hotel.
The hotel is walking distance to everything in the old city and even into the outer city areas. The hotel is easy to find and we walked from the bus station, and the only major issue was the cobbled roads and narrow footpaths (sidewalks).
I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable, convenient hotel with friendly and helpful reception staff.More
