Friendly service, just don't expect too much. You would not spend much time there but you can buy cool souvenirs there.

“Sun museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 January 2012

This was a brilliant morning out. as the displays were not in english our guide took us round and explained all about the exhibition, which was basically suns from all over the world. At the end we were able to paint our own sun to bring home, all this for L2.50, about £3, excellent!!!

Very nice museum, not one of those were you almost fall asleep towards the end. the collection is still quite small, but very beautiful and inspiring. it's interesting to see the interpretations of so many different cultures. also, there is a special attraction at the end of your visit for kids (and grownup kids). very friendly staff!

“Delightful little break that enlightens”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 December 2011

Suprised by the history of this very cozy and charmful museum. However, we miss more art history and coverage of the sun as a premium world symbol, thus, we hope this little museum will keep up it's good work and expand. This little museum makes your day with it's charm, but it need something more to compete with the clock and priority. Just like everywhere Riga only have 24 hours as well...

“Well, it's also a museum”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 December 2011

Visited it by chance when was invited for a celebration of my friends where they hired a space inside the museum.

Well, I must admit I will sow some conservative outlook here, but from my humble opinion, the museums should teach or impress people.
This tries to teach something a bit, and a bit to impress. But it's collection is not so vast, to be of 'museum' kind.
Anyhow, the concept is quite interesting. Also you should bear in mind the Riga does not offer great choice of museums and, taking this into account, this place probably worth to see, specially it may be interesting for younger kids.
