Description: The Neiburgs Restaurant, housed in a historical Art Nouveau building, is popular among visitors and locals who love a good dinner out. Its success is based on the combination of historical and stylish elements in the restaurant’s décor and delicious menu. The interior features lots of light and lightness; the fare is a fusion of contemporary trends and tradition for a reasonable price; the mood is set by background music soft enough not to make listening to your table-mate a hard task. The restaurant is famous for its hearty business lunch menus and excellent steaks, burgers and soups.

In this nice old premise in the midst of Old Riga, you are surprised to find a place which does not cater to mass tourism. Here, a talented chef serves a creative high quality international cuisine with local variations. We were five people having four different menus, and there was no deception. The dining room is pleasant, staff is friendly and professional, and the prices are certainly good value for this level of quality.

Wonderful Latvian cooking, at a nice table outside watching the world go by; unfortunately they were shooting a TV show which involved interviewing the chef outside on the street and so service was rather slow as the service staff gawked at the stars - and I guess also because Chef wasn't in the kitchen! But that was a small quibble, and probably wouldn't happen again. Go there for the food!

Quiet and nice restaurant, with good service and deliciously prepared food. Though we had to wait almost 50 min for the main course to arrive, it was really worth it, The dessert almost topped it off, with a beautiful and tasty chocolate fondant and homemade icecream. Definetly want to revisit this one!

Really really good food, the chef of the place has created lovely menu. My cucmber soup was absolutely fabulous, so was my friends' scallops. We were served by sweet english speaking waitress with good wine recommendations (thank you for taking so good care of us). After closing time we were guided to use the hotel Neiburgs lounge next door, while waiting our taxi to arrive. The hotel and it's library is the most beautiful, created with such a good taste. If you are travelling to Riga, you need to go this place, this is value for money!

Surprised this is rated only 12th in Riga. Menu is extensive - unlike many other places in Riga. Cream of cauliflower and sorrel soup was delicious, and the addition of hot smoked salmon cuts through the sorrel beautifully. White asparagus dish with rosemary soil (made from local dark bread!) was a hit, as was the basil pearl barley served with the turkey dish! We were ooo'ing and ahh'ing throughout but the best was yet to come - the deserts were purely amazing. The basil panna cotta served with chill/citrus sorbet was incredibly tasty, as was the sorrel ice cream served with the chocolate cake. All too often I've experienced wacky flavour combinations that just don't work, but this guy knows what he is doing - it was all delicious and a perfect marriage in the mouth! Am I sounding too much like a Masterchef judge? I was seriously impressed!! Make sure you eat here whilst in Riga!
