We stayed here for 6 nights in July. Our room on floor 4 was large with a very comfortable bed and good 'rain' style shower. Staff were very efficient and helpful. We had bed and breakfast: the hot breakfst was not very appealing; but there was a cold buffet too. Our only grumble was that we spoke to reception on our first day re the lack of a plug in the bathroom washbasin. They tried three they had, none of which fitted and in the course of a 6 night stay they never managed to find one. I thought this problem had disappeared in the 1980's....
Hotel's location is excellent: within the old town but off the main squares.

Very nice hotel. Clean and bath tub was superb! Try also hotel's restaurant and especially their pasta and creme brule, I loved it. Don't bother go outside the old town and city center, it is not that nice anymore. Best pizza place is Il Patio in Old town. If you like to buy nice clothes try shopping centers Galleria Riga and Galleria Centrals. We will definitely come back to Riga and the Neiburgs hotel.

Arrived in Riga old town from Tallinn and was expecting a similar hotel experience for same cost. What a pleasant surprise! Luxurious room, spacious, modern, beautifully decorated. With own kitchenette so would be possible to self cater. And all on the prettiest street in Riga. Now it's not quiet in downtown Riga so expect noise until very late - very, very late. Small price to pay to be in the middle of the action.

And the shower would drive you into the ground. Fab

This place has it all-quiet locale in heart of old town; efficient , courteous staff; clean and well appointed rooms; great buffet breakfast housed in a beautiful building. Highly recommended.

Perfect location in the old town in a 1903 building with real Riga character. And the rooms are up-to-date modern, taseful, spacious, comfortable in every way. Air conditioned too which in our case was a real godsend as our 6 day visit was during record heat. On this trip we stayed in 7 places, one in Riga, 6 in Italy. The Neiburgs was near the lowest in cost, but hands down winner with the best breakfast buffet. We were happy there, you will be too.

Room Tip: Don't miss the Riga Opera.... world class performances at 1/5th of world class prices.
