Excellent food in great setting. Octopus was excellently done, quite soft, beef tartar has greatset of flafors. But the absolute hero was the lamb rack - one of the best I have ever tasted. If you have to take the dessert, go for the Latvian birch and stay away from the goat cheese napoleon, As you probably can guess this is quite an expensive restaurant, we went as two and it totalled to 170 EUR, whereas one of us stayed away from alcohol.

The best thing about this place is it's location, in the Vermanes park just outside Riga Old Town. Came here for a relaxing Sunday brunch after a train trip to the beach outside Riga. It really hit the spot in terms of comfort, with lovely squishy sofas as part of the informal and modern dining room, overlooking the beautifully maintained park outside. It was a wet day and this was a haven of comfort but when it is warm there is a terrace and large sliding doors that open onto it.
The buffet was fine, not the best I've experienced but OK for the 20 Euro asking price - prawns in a ginger chilli sauce were the best item. Service was again relaxed and friendly and we were allowed to linger with no sense of being rushed. Good wine list at fair prices - paid 33 Euros for a Vermnetino which was moderately good, would have been the same, though in pounds, in London. Coffee was excellent but that was the case everywhere in Riga. Next time would try the a la carte menu.

This restaurant is located very near the old town with relaxing views over the park and very nice design. Food was really good and wine choice was maybe not very big but very good. Good experience. They also have a terrace that looks a perfect place to have dinner when weather will be bit warmer. I really liked the whole experience.

We have been eating very well but this was recommended by trip advisor and we endorse ths. Fantastic tasty and healthy meal, seasonal produce, not drowned in salt, tastefully presented with service to match.

This restaurant was recommended by the front desk clerk at the hotel. I wanted a nice restaurant that was within walking distance of the Radisson Hotel. We went early evening in the middle of the week and when we arrived there was probably two other tables with guests. We were promptly seated and our waiter took the time to explain the menu items and suggested some wine choices. All I can say is every bite of food was exceptional! From the appetizers, the extras sent out by the chef, my main course of duck breast to the deserts that had my taste buds doing back flips. This was truly a great dining experience. We sat and dined in excess of 2 hours taking our time to enjoy every bite. By the time we left the restaurant was packed. If I am ever in Riga again Biblioteka No1 will be my first stop.
