We stumbled upon this little gem via my favourite app, CityMaps2Go. Nothing much mentioned, just near by. The Restaurant itself is nothing fancy. You face a long canteen like glas front with all sorts of latvian names and descriptions. The Price is based upon weight. So each item is weighted and then you can add the next item on the tray. Single items are priced Piece wise. All of it tasted great and the best part was that ist also really cheap. We visited on our first night in town and already decided to come back!

This is your basic hare Krishna vegetarian buffet. Nice clean environment with attractive wooden communal tables. I like this place and gladly stand in line with my metal tray. The food is typical overcooked Indian style spinach and broccoli, oily potatoes and some salad items followed by heavy desserts..

well the food was nice, the staff wasnt so friendly, they have the weight-food system for many things. but anyway was near our hotel and good food, i hate that they try to market their religion through the food.

Too expensive and tasteless, comparing with other vegetarian cafes, even in the city of Riga.

Rama, at 56 Krisjana Barona iele is a vegetarian Indian restaurant run by ISKCON (the Hare Krishnas). Years ago it provided important support for the city's poor by providing nutritious food for whatever coins might be in your pocket. Today it is significantly cleaned up and offers a fairly wide variety of bland, mostly Indian dishes, and it charges significantly more than Govindas in other cities. It is still an inexpensive option, by American standards, but does not compare to similar establishments in Budapest or Prague.
