I was recently in Riga for a few days with a friend and did both the bike and kayak tour through Smile Line.
The bike tour was a great way to see 'the real Riga' and covered everything from the central market, some of the lesser known sights and areas and the many fantastic looking buildings scattered across the city. Our tour guide Tom certainly knew the city, answering our many questions and giving us advice about what to do and see.
I also took a kayak trip (at night) with Tom, which was something I'd never done before. Although slightly nervous about paddling down the centre of the main river heading towards the Baltic Sea, this trip was really good fun, an interesting way to travel other parts of the city and see all the lit up bridge.
I thought both trips were excellent (12-15 Lat), especially as the kayak trip involved transport to and from the area where you get to the boats. The best thing I can say is that it felt more like biking/paddling around with a knowledgable friend than a formal tour so I recommend this to anybody who is reasonably active and likes a bit of adventure.
