Great location, nice warm atmosphere, a mixture of cool and homeliness. Pleasant menu with good ingredients and innovative touches. Good bar selection. Nice place to have a light bite and enjoy the beautiful Baltic sunset whilst puffing on a fine Cigar in the company of beautiful people.

Table for two next to the fireplace and we were purring like cats. Very nice interior and ok outside during Summer - very nice and comfortable but view not the best as faces port. Food is excellent - had one of the best oysters! They had 5 different species in menu! Had stake as main course and everything was done as expected. Chosen wine and recommended wine by waitress were excellent.

Must go, when visiting Riga. Especially for the view and athmosphere. Beautiful terrace to watch sunset and a cosy, yet modern interior. Excellent food, good vine list and very friendly staff.

After a great first experience last year chose this place again couple of days ago, not just because of food but because of a great view over Riga and Daugava...

We were shown red French house wine (2010) on the evening 5/3/2014, we chose it because of the smooth taste to go with lamb and local venison...for some reason, waitress took back the tasting bottle and opened a new one for us....that one was the same brand but year (2011)...when we mentioned that the wine we tasted was 2010, she denied...after few times of my brothers persistence, waitress agreed that yes, we kind of got her, and brought us same tasting bottle of the 2010 (which we still had to pay for at the end, 35 euro for each house bottle)...not sure why they do it...but it was incredible that in such a trendy place they cheat with wine and food was not the same as last year...perhaps boss is on holiday or not keeping a good eye on business...I'm not coming back to Koya...there are plenty of great restaurants in Riga!

This is a relatively new restaurant in Riga that has a quite interesting look from the outside (almost looks like a garage or a warehouse) and a very cozy and romantic setting inside. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. One of the specialties is oysters which are very delicious here- cooked or raw.The menus is quite diverse offering seafood and exquisite meats ( some of them very pricey). I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at Koya and I definitely recommend it either for a private dinner with friends or family or business. the views from the restaurant are fantastic overlooking the Old Town.
