Me and three of my friends went to Riga for a quick day trip. We walked around the old town, not knowing where to go. We were first pointed towards Lido, a buffet style restaurant. However, we want letters to our food so we walked around a bit more. Ended up checking the menu at Key to Riga and it was not bad at all (especially since we are looking at the budget too).
The interior was immaculate - with candles everywhere and a small wooden bridge that connects you to the inner room. The waiting staff were also wearing medieval costumes. Love love their attention to details!
My friends and I ordered different things - salmon, roast beef, pork, and chicken. They all came out at the same time, and the portions were hefty. They were piping hot, with a side of salad and a head of roasted garlic. The mains don't come with starch so you might want to add some potatoes (the mashed potatoes were divine). The prices? €7 for the pork and chicken, €11 for the salmon, and €8 for the roast beef. The potato mash is a side order that costs €2.05. We would come back in a heart beat!
