We stayed here for 3 night but had such a great time it felt we were there a month as we had such a laugh and did so much. First the bad. The windows in the hotel don't open so can get a bit warm and sticky in the rooms at night but it's not a 5* hotel and also the beer in the hotel is a bit costly compared with out and about. Now the good. Everything else was amazing, the staff at the hotel were so friendly and really happy to help with anything, they couldn't do enough to make our stay a great one. The dancers were very sexy and friendly too and really didn't mind just having a chat, they are the best price and sexiest in Riga there really is no need to go anywhere else for a dance they get 2 thumbs up from me lol. The hotel and Riga were very good and not like we were thinking it was going to be really. It made it an amazing time and not sure if we could have done it better so thank you Hotel X-dream we all had the best time.

Room Tip: May be best to stay in the hotel block over the road as when you do get to bed it's quite.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as part of a mates stag do. The hotel is absolutely fine if you are using at a base to sleep and shower. If you plan on spending anytime relaxing at the hotel then don't stay here!! The rooms are extremely basic, they literally have a shower and a bed! They do have a/c though which was an unexpected bonus. They are not cleaned daily and there are no towel replacements, that is an extra £5 per day.
The hotel bar is open 23 hours a day, extremely dark and plays a dance music cd on repeat. It's also very expensive compared to other places near by. (£3.50 for a 500ml bottle of coke!!)
The location is ok, about a 15 minute cab ride from the town and there is a nice park across the road you can sit in.
The stay was bought as part of a package so I don't know how much it was per night to stay.
As I have mentioned, fine for stags if you are literally sleeping and showering there, but nothing more than that. The staff will try and convince you that the bar is cheapest one around but just go for a wander and you will find somewhere much cheaper!

Just back from 3 a night stay in hotel x-dream. For a stag party you will do well to find better accommodation for the price and craic anywhere in Riga. The staff will go out of there way to make you enjoy your stay. We were a stag party of 12 and every man had a great time. Lifted us at the airport, and took us over and back to the main strip any time we wanted. Let us play our own music through the bar/club sound system all weekend.. Made us pizzas and filled us full of beer at any time of the day or night.. Can't say a bad word about the place.. Top notch

Hi we have just had a party of 9 on a stag do to the Xdreams hotel in Riga, we all enjoyed the trip. The rooms are presentable but nothing special, the best room we found was on the 12th floor, more space, all the rooms we had hired for our party had 3 single beds, a ensuite bathroom with a shower nothing to fancy but you make do, it is clean and tidy. The food in the hotel is nothing special, I would rather eat out( some nice restaurants in the town) , the coffee is freshly ground at 3 lats (£4) a cup, the morning free breakfast incorporates of bread which you toast, yogurt, butter, jam, 2 slices of cheese and 3 pieces of salami, and a cup of instant coffee. The drinks on site will cost approx 2.50 lats for beer and around 5 lats for spirits, most brands are held. The massage in the hotel was excellent for 30 lats and some extras come with that, you will know when you have it. The dances in the hotel are the cheapest and the best for 20 lats, in the old town you will pay in the region from 30 to 60 lats for the same, so recommendations is have dances in the hotel, the girls are good, attractive and the price is reasonable. We did a shooting guns trip that was an excellent experience and is well recommended. One of the best bars we went to was the skylight bar above Radisson hotel, the drinks are at a reasonable price a round of shots cost 30 lats, pints of beer 2.00 to 2.50 lats. This bar was one of the ones from the package we choose for the pub crawl.
The all women staff in the hotel were very helpful. The best currency rate can be found in the town centre but you would need to shop around, we were getting approx .75 lats to every pound, the best rate we found was about .81.
It is expensive here so make sure you bring lots of cash on average most people who stayed at this hotel were saying they spent from £500 to £830 in the few days they were here.

Room Tip: Best room in the hotel is room 12

Myself and 5 other lads recently returned from a stag weekend from this venue and I would like to give you an honest review about this hotel in general and Riga in particular.

Let me start by saying that if you do choose to stay at this hotel, make sure you are staying in the main building, before you sign the disclaimer you are presented with upon arrival at the reception, as the other buildings are not so desireable.

The rooms in this hotel are of all shapes and sizes depending on your group size, they are very basic, moderately clean with comfy single beds. The bathroom/toilet was also of a basic standard but clean, to be perfectly honest, for a stag weekend, these rooms are all you need.
The only thing I will say is that it can be particularly noisy at all times of the day and night as people are constantly coming and going.

All the staff at this hotel including: reception, bar staff and the guides were all very freindly and to be frank couldnt do enough for you, you were made to feel comfortable and at ease with your new surroundings.

The bar in the hotel serves food and drink which in my opinion is slightly overpriced and not particularly good, your much better off going into the "old town" for food and drink. its cheaper and better. A cab there from the hotel is about 10 mins journey and will cost you 10 Lats ( £13) between 7 of you ( couple quid each). There are buses and trams available, but we didnt bother. For breakfast or lunch there are a few eateries within walking distance of the hotel which are very reasonable and good, the hotel staff will try to discourage this, as they want you to spend all your time and money in their hotel.

There are plenty of bars and clubs in the old town which serve good beer and food and are fairly reasonable. Our first night there (Friday), we had a guide with us all evening showing us where was best in their opinion to eat and drink, the second and third days and nights we done our own thing and found it to be better and cheaper, its perfectly safe to do so as long as you have your wits about you.

Overall we had a great weekend because at the end of the day its the company your with that counts, we heard a few horror stories about Riga before going there and were very skeptical, but ultimately if you respect the people and their country, they will respect you.

A few recommendations:
Queens bar/pub ... good food and drink and all sports showing there
Street burger..... amazing burger joint
skyline bar 26th floor of the Radisson blue hotel... great lounging atmosphere with danceing

I hope my review helps you with your decision :))

Room Tip: room 13, biggest room in the hotel

Just got back,a group of 25 went to the hotel, there's a bar on site with strippers some good/some mother looking like, the bevys are about £3 odd and in plastic glasses and not a pint, there is a lady who does the karioke who is really nice though, the bar is open 23 hours a day only closed 7am till8am so if u want a sleep you have to be bevied out ya head cos I was in room 3 above the bar and had an off day and didn't get a blink of sleep, there were a group of Londoners about 20 who were a good laugh and as noisie as us,the staff must dread the next batch of stags landing if they were a noisy as our party's,worst thing was being so far out from the town centre were the nite life is,if you like noise,no sleep and that feeling of death on the flight home then book this, does what it says on the tin
