I'm not one to usually enjoy large corporate places, but Stargorod gets it right from beginning to end, The services was the best I've had in Riga. Everyone was pleasant and helpful with no rolled eyes, arguments, and heavy sighs as one often gets here.
The beer was nice. Not craft beer, but a good local brew. Quite drinkable. The food was quite good, with huge portions. Three of us shared one portion of duck, which cost around 18 euro, making it very good value for money.
One of the things that really struck me was the attention to detail. Someone really but thought into the place, and it shows.
The entertainment for children was appreciated as it kept the little monsters at other tables occupied and quiet.
