My reservation was for 1 Superior Double Room. Arrived at @ 12:45 and learnt that check-in was 2 PM. No effort was done to find out whether or not a room was available. No way: 2 PM is 2 PM! So I waited in the lounge and outside for more than an hour. 2 PM+5 minutes I found my "Superior Double room". Pictures enclosed. I just wonder how a standard double room would look like... Went to the reception to find out if there had been a mistake in the booking." No", the efficient but not so customer friendly clerk said. "It's 16 sqm so its a double superior room". As the pictures show, it is not possible to pass between the double bed and the cupboard without moving the chair. And where to put it? No,if you are two sharing the bed enter the bed on a straight line from the right hand side. And leave it in an orderly manner. Then it works. In a way.
It could have been worse: A corridor 2 meters wide and 8 meters long as that would also have qualified for the rating "Superior Double Room".
Breakfast was OK.
I met three of the female clerks. One was most helpful and showed me where to park the bike. The second I have already commented on - and the third gave me a nice smile and a pleasant "Good Morning" on the day of departure.
So - after all - there may be hope although this place seems to be ruled by mathematical rules. And mathematics is a fairly precise science... 2 is 2 and 16 is 16. Basta

Room Tip: No reason to upgrade to a Superior Double Room in this hotel. There are alternatives near by.

Great hotel with a perfect breakfast buffet. Our junior suite was very big with a nice view and a jacuzzi a ordered. The location was perfect. 2 min from the food halls, a shopping center in the back yard and 2 min walk the the city centre. The food on the hotel is not recommendable.

Room Tip: The junior suite with a tub was extremely compared to some of the other very small rooms.

Me and my two friends had a triple room here for four nights, decent room, excellent price, shower was powerful, bed was very comfortable . I would stay here again. It perfectly located for the old town centre.

Mini bar is expensive, didn't use hotel bar and only made breakfast once. Don't expect a English breakfast, it's a Latvian breakfast.

This hotel is a nice one downtown Riga, a part of the old town. Good service at the reception, breakfast is OK, and the hotel is nice and warm. Refrigerator and TV with a variety of international channels (BBC, CNN, etc) is a plus. Large shopping center just up the street.
However, the standard room is small, and during weekends there may be some noise from night clubs and the street, as it is a downtown area.
