About as authentic Indian cuisine as chicken chop suey is Chinese! Bland sort of sauce and from maybe 8 pieces of lamb, 2 were inedible as being so tough. Hardly cheap at 14.5€ just for the curry before you have rice or anything else. They supply the Kiwi Bar next door too and without trying to sound snobbish (I went in The Kiwi myself) it is the sort of curry that's ok to accompany several pints of lager whilst watching the footie.

The room is a pleasant experience and the service was excellent. However, the prices are much too high for what you get in return. The food is okay but nothing special really - despite the fact that it is much hotter than what you usually get in your Indian restaurant around the corner. Some may regard this as 'authentic' - for me it just overruled much of the rich Indian flavours and spices that you get in excellent Indian cuisine. What really annoyed me, was that you have to pay for EVERYTHING extra: papadams, raita, rice...

My Chicken Vindaloo and garlic naan were really worth the first visit of the restaurant. If you are looking for an Indian downtown Riga, this is the place to go. Simple and straightforward. Somehow, I was missing the warm Asian welcome and service.

A full restaurant mid week and out of season must tell you something. Superb cooking from a Mumbai chef but be prepared to wait. The one waitress remained cheerful despite the pressure but the food did take some time to arrive. The food received a very favorable response from my friends who are all regular curry eaters. The Sag mutton was a particular favorite

I am a frequent traveler from NL and visit at-least once in a 3 months to Riga . The restaurant need to improve the service squad ...very arrogant local lady ( Not a owner driven restaurant ) . India and Indian food is known for hospitality, but unlikely this one is not good in service and just ok in taste. ( experienced on March 11 and 12th 2014 )
